These pans quickly became my favorites. I use them all the time. They would make a great gift for a beginner to cast iron cooking. Some of the newer cast iron does not heat evenly and these do. I did add one more layer to the seasoning... I like to season with bacon grease because it gives everything that slight smokey flavor.

I like the size too, just right for heating up burrito shells. I would buy these again if needed. But, well cared for cast iron will last over 100 years - some of my best pans are older than that.

This Lodge round griddle is on my stove top since I bought it two years ago and I use it almost every day for everything egg-related to grilled veggies and sides to steak, breaded chicken burgers, fish, etc. Anything that you want to grill and dont require a pan or a lid. Most people see this as a "breakfast pan" but its not.
Trick: Use Flaxseed oil with your cast iron pans. Its by far the best (google it). Im hardly using anything else than cast iron now since I season them with flaxseed oil.

I purchased this item and have used it several times I love it... handle does get hot tho so watch...oven mitt for sure needed. I am going to buy another one. I just saw you should use solid shortening to season it....so I will keep it on hand.
