After just 2 WEEKS, the lid's grip broke (with minimal use.)

I received my pan and lid on Sep 27, 2019.
It's now October 11th and the top grip on the lid has loosened already and when I attempted to simply tighten the screw, it stripped.
So now the lid is unusable.
Pans are great quality, but I would not recommend this lid.

UPDATE: I went into my toolbox and found a screw that fit. It also need some rubber padding so the screw wouldn't loosen when using the lid. It's fixed now and that's good. But when purchasing a brand new item, it shouldn't be on the customer to fix it themselves to make it work.

Rubber handle falls off

We loved this lid at first - it fits great and it’s nice being able to see through the glass to your food. However, after about three months of light use (and exclusively hand-washing), the handle popped off and the screw fell into the food. We screwed it back in and didn’t have any problems for a couple of weeks, but it has popped off again, and the screw will not completely tighten. It doesn’t seem like it’s stripped, but it does seem that the screw could be too small. Would not recommend.

I measured, did the research, and too my own shame, it didn't fit. I guess I should have sent it back.

I have a 12 inch cast iron skillet. This dude matches the outer diameter, which means the lip rests on the lip of the skillet. They should have done a better job with the description

All in all, this is a great product. It fits our oversized Lodge cast iron skillet like a glove. Only feedback I would offer is that the rubber knob/handle is a little wonky when you pick it up. Possibly a stiffer rubber would be better suited on such a large lid. One concern I would like to express is durability. I am not sure about you guys out there, but from time to time, my wife likes to test the overall durability of products that we purchase. Cell phones = tested, cars = tested, dishwashers = tested. I guess she found the allure of testing the Lodge Tempered glass lid irresistible as she spiked it like a football after the game winning catch. I guess you have caught on by now that if you drop the lid (aggressively or not), it will likely shatter. That being said, the lid wasn't made to be dropped, it was made to be a lid so I can't hold that against Lodge. Good product!

I should have known that I'd find this 15-inch glass lid on Amazon, when I couldn't find one anywhere else. This is a perfect fit for Lodge, and other brands, too. Because the inside rim is slightly smaller than the outside, this lid fit my 13-and-14-inch pans perfectly. I love glass lids because you can see your food cooking without lifting the lid and allowing steam to escape. I had no problem with the knob getting hot, but, I would still use a pot holder as a safety precaution.

I have a random large frying pan and this fits pretty good. Measured from inner rim it's 13 5/8 inches. But it also has 2 extra flared rims beyond that so it could definitely fit a pan up to 14 inches.

This lid fits perfectly on my light weight cast iron skillet, not a Lodge Brand, but nevertheless, it's perfect, except...………...I didn't notice before ordering that it has no steam vent in the top. It fit and is high quality so I didn't want to send it back. It was my fault anyway for not noticing. With no vent, steam builds up more moisture underneath, something not always wanted. Even though these vents are small, they do work. So, just be aware.

Poorly made lid keeps losing its knob

The lid itself is fine, but the knob is very poorly made, and attaches with a threaded bolt that repeatedly loosens and falls off. I tighten the knob every week or two, and I only use it once a week, but nevertheless, it falls off almost every time. I’ve bashed my hand, and the lid itself is now dented on the rim from being dropped. It’s a really terrible design and I would not recommend it.

Please handle it carefully.Mine broke from the counter (hip level) into million pieces. At this point, I can't say anything about its durability and warmth. I thought the metal outline would be sturdy enough to avoid this breakage.
The worst thing is that I couldn't even use it after unpacking 😪

This is a very nice lid. It fits my Lodge 12" cast iron pan great. I was initially concerned as there is no steam vent in the lid, but I find it's not necessary. The fit leaves just enough of a gap by the pour ridge in the pan to ensure adequate venting.

Very happy, and glad I went with the Lodge branded lid over a generic 12".

Does not fit the lodge 8sk as advertised. Very poor fit 1/4 inch gap around pan. The 12 “ lid fit the lodge 10sk pan perfectly. I would not recommend this lid for the sk8 pan.
