Cherry MX Blue high-speed mechanical keys
Go the distance with gaming-grade responsiveness and 'clicky' tactile feedback superior to rubber-domed keys. With an actuation force and distance of 45 grams and 4 millimeters, respectively, the keys are optimized for rapid command entry. Plus, they’ve been tested for durability to 50 million keypresses.
Adjustable dual-zone backlighting
Easily locate keys—even in low light. The entire keyboard is backlit in white LED light and adjustable to one of four brightness levels, plus 'Off'. For better visibility of the WASD and arrow keys, their brightness can be adjusted independently from the rest of the keyboard.
Instant media access
Convenient one-touch controls give you instant access to volume, mute and media playback without needing to press a function key. Game/Desktop mode lets you quickly disable the Windows/Context Menu keys to prevent accidental interruptions when you play.
Six programmable G-keys
With three macros per G-key, you can configure up to 18 individual functions per game*. Harness the power of G-keys to configure single key presses, complex macros or intricate LUA scripts on the fly and quickly simplify actions to stay immersed in your game and never lose a step. You can even create macros on the fly.
*G-key programming requires Logitech Gaming Software, available at website.
High-performance gaming keys
All 110 keys are calibrated to prevent anti-ghosting so you can press and hold multiple keys simultaneously without fear of missing or unexpected keypresses. And with 26 key rollover, you can press almost any number of keys plus modifier keys (Control, Alt, Shift) in any order and get exactly what you intended.
Connectivity plus comfort
Easily connect your mouse, headset or other USB device via the High-Speed USB Pass-through instead of searching for your computer’s USB port. A detachable palm rest and durable tilt legs provide stability and comfort even in your most intense gaming sessions.

I use mine quite frequently and haven't noticed any keys becoming softer to press or anything at all actually. I do wish that I could change the color of the backlight from white though. I do like that I can change the brightness to several different settings as well.
All in All I have never used such an awesome keyboard and I have owned this one twice as long as any other keyboard as well.
The clicking is why I bought this keyboard and is its biggest PRO but it might be distracting to others - the clicking becomes distracting and intrusive as a background noise on conference calls (especially when being used by fast typers).
The second PRO for selecting this keyboard is the lit keys (I regularly use my keyboard well into the night). The LED intensity goes from too bright to too dim, but there are three settings in between - one of which is sure to be just right for you. The separate intensity for WASD/arrow keys is gimmicky but I suppose has its benefits for gamers. The biggest CON is the fact that shift-characters are printed at the bottom of the keys instead of at the top. This is most likely because of the LED placement underneath (they're placed at the top of the key). It takes some getting used to when you're looking for a shift-character and you don't immediately see it where you expect it to be on the key.
The Media Controls
The separate, dedicated media controls are nice and convenient - it was a feature I looked for.
The Programmable Keys
The programmable macro keys are a novelty for non-gamers (mine open email, call up favorite websites, launch apps, etc) that I wouldn't miss but it seems all mechanical keyboards come with some flavor of these keys. The software that can be used to configure the macro keys is somewhat lacking when trying to configure keystroke or multi-key settings - at least it was on a Mac (key combinations didn't get picked up correctly).
The USB Pass-through
The keyboard comes with one USB plug at the back next to the power cord. It's a nice convenience for USB drives or charging cords. etc.
The Wrist Support
I use a separate gel wrist support pad but it was nice to have the option of having an included wrist support that snaps on or off the keyboard.
The Bottom Line
The workmanship and quality is good. At $90 it was one of the least expensive mechanical lit keyboards with dedicated media keys I could find. Worth the price if you type alot alone at night.
Cherry mx blue switches
Dual zone adjustable backlighting
Volume wheel with mute and media keys
Solid build quality
Requires software to program the G-Keys and Profiles (not really a huge con)
This does not come with o-rings pre-installed like the G710+ (cherry mx brown version of this keyboard. Not really a con, but more of a note)
In a world filled with (now) ridiculously large amounts of RGB peripherals and complex software to handle the lighting features, it's nice to have something simple that can be configured with or without the Logitech gaming software. As the owner of a G710+ (the same keyboard with cherry mx brown switches), I have already had experience with the layout of this keyboard and utilizing the logitech gaming software. The design of the keyboard is slightly "gamery" without being over the top. The WASD and arrow keys are different colors than the rest of the keyboard, but that and the Macro keys are just about the only things that really make this more "gamer" looking than another mechanical keyboard. Otherwise, I enjoy the look of this keyboard with it's angular design. The backlighting is great. Nice and bright even in a bright room, with enough brightness adjustment to satisfy most people. I'm a fan of white backlighting as I like that it illuminates the keys without being a distracting light show in your face 24/7 and since white is a very neutral color it goes with just about any build you could make. The keyboard itself feels very solid and the keys are the standard shape that we are all used to using (looking at you G910 Orion Spark). They media keys are a nice touch as I find myself using them more often than I thought I would, and overall the functionality that the keyboard provides is well rounded. This is my first full fledged experience with a cherry mx blue keyboard and I have to say that I've become a fan of the tactile bump and audible actuation of the keys. The only thing I am going to do to make this keyboard even better is install some o-ring dampeners so that the keys don't bottom out and cause that "clack" sound while typing. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to utilizing both this G710 and the G710+ for many years to come.
Edit: After a few month of use I've noticed that the keys can stick. When playing CS:GO I will start reloading randomly. I finally deducted that the 'R' key would stick and cause me to constantly reload. This is hard to replicate, but the only fix is once it starts happening you have to start tapping the 'R' key until you stop reloading. Very annoying, especially since you don't know it is stuck until you fire the first shot and your gun tries to reload. Logitech support told me to try the board on another PC and to clean the board. I've only had it two months so I know it is clean. I replied back and never heard another response 7 business days later. I would not suggest this board for competitive gaming. In hind sight I would likely go with the CM Storm as it is slightly cheaper and doesn't have a ton of useless keys. I would miss the volume and mute buttons, though.

Bought this keyboard brand new elsewhere. First, found a sticky spacebar a few days later, RMAed it, waited for weeks for to get it back.Read more
