I had an old USB headset that was much more expensive. I didn't want to use yet another USB port or get yet another USB hub so I found this headset and based on the reviews bought it to talk via Skype, ICQ, MSN, etc. primarily with people in Russia and Estonia. It attaches to the sound card on your PC.(I did have to disconnect the speakers to attach it so it's one or the other) The first time I used it, I was surprised to find that the sound quality was as good as my internet phone which is as good as, if not better, than a land line. Subsequent conversations were less successful which may have been more a function of bandwidth and packet delivery than the Headset. It is relatively comfortable and easy to use and when I recorded a conversation on Skype, I listened to my own voice and found the quality very good insofar as I can tell how I sound.

The price is right and with Amazon's great free shipping, I bought it from Amazon where because of the free two day shipping plan I have, I buy as much as possible(no. I am not affiliated with Amazon).

As a female gamer, with a slightly smaller frame, I prefer lighter weight headsets because they don't hurt my ears. These are PERFECT for me. They're extremely lightweight and have a very nice lengthy cord, with separate headphone and mic jacks (which I prefer, because it allows me to listen to music or vent/Skype/whatever through my speakers while still having my mic plugged in).

I've owned two pairs of these headsets and each has lasted over a year. The first pair, one of the earpieces went out, and the 2nd pair the mic went out, but again, they lasted for well over a year. For being so cheap, the fact that they lasted that long amazes me so they are definitely worth the money.

If you're looking for untimate sound, however, the earpieces are just mediocre. The south quality is about what you would expect from your average headphones, so don't expect super awesome bass or sound quality. It's perfectly acceptable, however, for use with MMOs or Skyping with family/friends.

Overall, for price, these are quality headphones for chatting purposes. Good mic, good headphones, good quality. Don't abuse them, obviously, and you'll get your money's worth.

Clarity of conversation is excellent. Headphones are comfortable yet provide somewhat of a challenge for those of us with smaller heads. However, if you stay positioned and do not make many moves this is not a problem. I would like to see some type of headset adjustment in future models.

Although it says that headset works with Mac, it does not work at all. Yes you can hear in headset, but the microphone is completely incompatible with the Mac OS and not recognized as external mic.

I wouldn't recommend thisLogitech ClearChat Style Headset as the microphone didn't even last for 2 months. I had one earlier but the headphone was died and this time, its the microphone. Get better ones rather than this.

Very disappointed in this product. Within 30 days my microphone stopped working for online chat. within another 30 days the sound in the headset portion of this product stopped working on the left earphone. Now at another 30 days I still have to jiggle the wires to make any sound come out of these headsets. This is not the first time I've experienced this with these types of headsets, I've come to believe that they are made to fail within 60-90 days. Can anyone refer a product that works for more than 30 days? Thank you. A very unsatisfied Logitech customer.

I had the logitech g330 for quite some time. That headset was comfortable with good sound, the only downside of it was the pressure eventually causing the back to crack (I should have just used tape to fix it). I was going to buy it again however with the price increase I opted for a more reasonable alternative. This sadly was not a good option.

Shortly after purchasing this headset it broke. The sound produced was interrupted with static, that's when there was sound. It eventually went out completely, no amount of fixing the cord, holding the cord fixed this. I would not invest in this headset a second time, and would advise others not to invest in this mistake. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews on this one.

Works great, the volume control comes in handy when you need to snap off the mic in a hurry, and the mic itself picks up your voice well without too much background interference. The only set back is I can't wear them for more than about an hour before the ear pieces start to cut into the top of my ear. It's rather uncomfortable for a while, but I adhered a piece of thin foam around the earpiece and it hasn't bothered me since . Great for Skyping, YM video chat, or whatever medium you're using.
