Top Customer Reviews
-Comfortable memory foam earpads covered in pleather. Can be worn for hours even over glasses
-Ample cushioning on headband
-Flexibility to turn noise cancellation on or off
-Durable and detachable cable with idevice controls
-Nicely balanced sound in passive mode
What I don't like:
-In active mode, bass somewhat overwhelms highs
-Heavy at 275 g
-Glossy plastic earpieces are fingerprint magnets
-Moves around on your head a lot due to heavy weight, big earpad circumference, and light clamping force
-Earpads not replaceable but seem durable
-Noise cancelling is only mildly effective at cancelling noise
-Quality control issues: first pair I tried had hissing/white noise coming out of right side only. My new pair has hissing coming out of both sides, presumably due to poor quality noise cancellation technology (Bose QC15 has NO hiss)
Sound and comfort when compared to Klipsch Image One, Harman Kardon CL, B&W P5, Bose QC15, Sennheiser Momentum:
-Klipsch Image One is too bass-heavy. Comfort is merely OK because the cushions are so small they straddle the line between circum-aural and on-ear
-Harman Kardon CL is closest in price and also performance. Has a solid but not overwhelming bass and clear mids and highs. Unique headband mechanism is comfortable for half an hour but becomes uncomfortable if worn for longer periods
-B&W P5: Although this was by far the best-looking out of all the headphones, I found it to have a somewhat hollow sound especially when compared to the Harman Kardon CL. A very tight (and unadjustable) clamping force made listening very uncomfortable even for brief periods.Read more ›
*Sleek & Stylish (Black base, blue accents, shiny)
*Noise canceling (better than both my Beats and my Skull Candy)
*Comfortable (These are over the ear (unlike my Beats) which not only helps with the noise canceling, but does not put pressure on parts of your ears after a few hours use.) Fully adjustable as well, with plenty of padding.
*Sound is AMAZING! (They are hands down the best set of headphones I have used to date. The treble/bass balance is perfect!)
*The jack that plugs into my phone is longer than standard. (This is a pro because now I don't have to remove my phones case due to the flat plug style.)
*On cord volume control!! (I don't have to take my ipod out of my back pocket when I need to adjust)
*Came with a nifty 2 way splitter so I can share my tunes with a friend.
*Nice carrying case with interior pocket for the cord.
*Due to the batteries in the headphones, they can feel a little heavier than most headphones (not heavy enough for me to care though - if I'm being honest.)
*These were designed specifically for Apple products, so if you decide to use them with a different brand, some of the features will NOT work. (Cord controls.) - Just FYI, I have Apple products.
Overall, I think they are wonderful. Perfectly priced (aka less than my Beats) and everything I would expect from a Logitech product. Great function, wonderful aesthetics.
Really good I think. They are built like Beats actually (studios), with similarities in the folding system, headband cushion, earpads, overall shape, and the active noise canceling. However, the actual materials are of much better quality. There's a good amount of strong plastics and metals within the design giving them a nice weight. The pads though aren't replaceable. I don't care that much since they're only $100 now.
I have the black ones (I like the more subtle look) and they look fantastic both on and off the head. I get good impressions from friends and family and whatnot.
When I first got them, they were a little uncomfortable. The pads were too small, and the clamp was too tight. Now, they are rediculously comfortable. I believe the reason for my discomfort was because prior to the UE6000, I had used the MDR MA900 nonstop which is widely known for its low clamp and high comfort.
Isolation is the best I've owned. Works wonderfully on the bus and train. In this way, they are totally unique in my collection! I like them the most out of all the portable cans (well, maybe not the momentum or Focal Spirit One, but I'll get that) because of their isolation. They also have a detachable cable, IOS remote, ANC, and a headphone splitter right out of the box.
So far so good right? Let's talk about sound.
After many hours of listening to these things, I have finally adapted to the sound signature.Read more ›
