- Good lens
- Fast autofocus
- Wide angle detailed view
- Stereo mics work as expected and very clear
- Very good clip system
- Comes with tripod mounting screw holes which is VERY useful
- Another great piece is clip on lens cover
- USB cable is long enough to move around
- Does not have any downloadable software to take quick video or picture
- Can not switch between close view and wide angle, it is always wide by default
- Like any other mid range webcam, does not perform too well in low light situation
- Two leds on the side is not a good help
- The clip just covers the lens, a mic on of micro switch would be helpful in terms of complete privacy.
This is a VERY GOOD webcam for this price range comparing the pros and cons, it definitely does what it says and after researching and trying out several other webcams, I definitely recommend it.
I decided to get a more contemporary webcam to address a couple issues:
- ability to zoom/scroll
- wide angle setting for family calls
- assumed greater clarity and resolution with new model
I paid the COVID tax and got a 930e for $300.
Connects and sets up easily as with all Logitech cameras. Nice work, Logitech.
Build quality looks good.
Settings app is crap, but I think that's standard for webcams.
I made a couple test videos with my c910 and the 930e and immediately noticed:
- intense color saturation with 930e. Turned down in settings improved, but still unnatural looking
- blurriness of picture. I played with manual focus and auto-focus to confirm was not a focus issue. I think it's just lens quality issues. Not sure if it's just marketing, but the 910 says it has a Zeiss lens. Is this the difference?
- auto-focus changing focus while I'm in a conference call while seated still at my desk
I suspected maybe residue on the lens cover and wiped with a lens cloth. There was no residue and no change in performance.
Returned and bought a Brio 4K.

The Software used to edit the Camera (Logitech Webcam C930e Control) has plenty of options; brightness, contrast, colour intensity, auto white balance & auto focus (on or off). There is also the difference between 60HZ (NTSC) & 50HZ (PAL) as well as the Image view to be either Widescreen or Standard. This is an ideal webcam for Video calls with friends & family and most certainly for business purposes such as conferences needing a wide angle capabilities.
The image quality is fantastic and not grainy at all. I am very pleased with my purchase.
Bought at £59.00 On Sale.
The only downside I can comment on, Is the product I received which has a minor defect behind the glass screen in front of the lens, I attempted to capture this in the images provided, sadly I cannot wipe this clean as it is under the glass which is why I deducted 1*. It doesn't seem to effect the webcam quality though... so I'm not sure it's worth sending back.
P:S Mike the other reviewer who provided images... clearly doesn't understand how to use a webcam, as his picture was appalling quality.
One question I ask myself is whether it was worth the extra £10 over the C920, I think the only thing you gain is pan and zoom, which I can't operate from the Slack desktop app anyway (and you can't run the Logitech software at the same time because the camera can only feed one application at a time).
Edit: 4 Sep 2018 -
I've noticed that the settings are saving when the cam is unplugged now, so I can now unplug the cam and when I come back it's still pointing at my face instead of zoomed out at the wall above my head. Now I don't have any reservations. The picture and sound quality is excellent.
I'd also note that although others have pointed out that this is a "business" model and not supported by the Logitech webcam software... I've been happily using the "Logitech camera settings" application that I downloaded from the Logitech website, it's the only way to control the PTZ settings.
Only gripe is the unit is ugly as anything, really nasty design but until a better option comes along, it' the best cam I've found for a Mac.
The Logitech c930e is the best option:
— The image quality is what it advertises and the software to change the settings of the camera is really easy and intuitive.
— A major detail about the Logitech c930e is that you only need to plug it and it's done.
— The camera also have a screw hole for the tripod, which gives an almost profissional feeling to it.
There are two details I hope they improve in future versions, but none of them lower the high quality of the Logitech c930e:
— Adding the option to unplug the usb cable from the camera.
— Bigger plastic support in the place it fit the border of the screen so it stays in place and completely cover the Facetime camera of the iMac.
LogitechG have since added support for the c930e in their gaming software "LGS". It no longer freezes in OBS and XSplit and has full support under Windows 10. The software also allows you to turn off a lot of the automatic features that prevented it excelling as a consumer webcam. Previously, disabling auto backlight adjustment (Right Light 2) was impossible. Sometimes on PC restart it will forget these setting,s but it's simple enough to quickly set again. From 3/5 stars to 5/5!
I found the C930e froze when using OBS and XSplit to take full advantage of the webcam. If using it with Skype for business and other relevant applications as per it's intended purpose I'm sure it's fantastic. Video quality and FOV was fantastic. However, for the general consumer consider the C920, it's a little more powerful in terms of it's customizability despite the reduced FOV.
Have put up with these significant issues for such as expensive camera as I’m a key worker and need to be able to use video conferencing which I have managed to get working after a few hours. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone that wants a simple plug and play solution.
This only works if you have a solid green background and I don't so I can't utilise this feature at all.
Really disappointed and it doesn't say in the description that you must have a solid green background.
Other than that, it's a good camera.
