Had a Ring doorbell for years, then I got this bad boy and immediately sold my Ring on facebook marketplace and ordered another one of these for the backdoor. They're truly vastly superior to the Ring
products I tried, in every way. Motion capture is better, and recordings work better, and they have facial recognition that Ring doesn't even have!!! I seriously encourage you to read all about this device, everything they say is true, it's fantastic.
The Circle View Doorbell is an absolutely amazing device, once you get the firmware updated anyway!
That is the only issue, when I got my first camera, it did a firmware update overnight and was unresponsive the next day and I had to do a factory reset about 7 times before it would reconnect. Once it was added back to homekit though, it's been flawless ever since. The 2nd camera did the firmware update, but just reconnected before I woke up the next day and has been perfect ever since.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the Apple HomePod and HomePod Mini are notorious for causing serious network issues and will cause these cameras and other smarthome devices to become unresponsive. I've even had my internet stop working until I removed the HomePod and rebooted the router.
