Over the years based on the games I play and the need for comfort and control I have changed the way I grip the mouse couple of times and finally when buying Logitech M705 I settled on a fingertip grip. M705 is not a gaming mouse, and doesn't have high DPI or the precision of a gaming mouse, but I quite liked the shape and it was fine until I bought a 1440p monitor. It puzzles me why companies like Microsoft and even the non-gaming Logitech keep making low dpi mice, when it is clearly obvious that this is not enough for anything beyond 1080p even for browsing. I don't play games at high DPI settings, but with the new monitor I needed a mouse with higher DPI, and after visiting a few stores and trying numerous mice I settled on Logitech G9x and CM Spawn. I chose the G9x back then mostly because of the far superior software of Logitech.
The reason some people still use G9x today is because of the shape. I never found G9x ideal because it has inherently flawed sensor and scroll wheel. Microsoft's tilting scroll wheel and Logitech's "MicroGear Precision" scroll wheel (G9x is one of many that uses it) were two of the worst mouse innovations to ever plague the world of computer electronics. Next on the “innovation list” is Microsoft's idea to not only include, but enable by default in Windows mouse acceleration, or what they call "Enhance pointer precision". Luckily this can be turned off, except Laser sensors (which G9x uses) have an additional built in acceleration that cannot be turned off. So no, I didn't find G9x the perfect mouse, but in the 3 years that I have owned it I have bought and returned 4 other mice because they had bigger flaws (mostly in the shape) than the ones present in G9x.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I have a mouse drawer in my desk like most people have a cable drawer. Gamers know what I'm talking about-- the "one mouse to rule them all' is elusive if not impossible to create or find. Logitech comes pretty darn close. I play almost all games, but the following more often than others:
- Starcraft 2
- World of Warcraft
- 3rd Person RPG (Pillars of Eternity, Baldurs Gate, etc...)
- FPS (Call of Duty, Battlefield)

I also do a significant amount of productivity app work during my day job (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Audacity, general interneting...) and prefer not to change out my gaming mouse if need be.

Since last year, I have been using the Logitech Proteus Core with custom weights as my de facto standard mouse. It's a beautifully engineered mouse and has fit the bill for all of my ranging uses thus far. I have a fingertip/claw grip and very small hands. The Proteus is built for people like me.

When I first encountered the Daedalus, I was intrigued. It's a completely different mouse to be sure-- its lightweight, minimalist in terms of exterior features and was unlikely to displace the Proteus on my desk. However, I must say it is an astoundingly comfortable and precise mouse with (finally) the perfect lightweight mouse "feel". Logitech got the materials/construction JUST RIGHT. It's low profile on my desk and has a delightful, tactile left and right click. The programmable thumb buttons are in the perfect, natural position where my thumb knuckle lines up with the side of the mouse. As I said, the mouse is lightweight but doesn't feel hollow or insubstantial in my hand or as it glides across the tracking surface.

So just got this today and so far I really like it. I'm a PC and Mac user and I switch between with a KVM. Now this mouse says it only works with windows but it actually has a really awesome feature that makes it perfect for a mac. The mouse actually stores the configurations and once they are store in the mouse you don't need any software running in the background in order for the configurations to be used. This allows you to plug the mouse into a windows PC, use the software to set up you macros, sensitivity, and pretty much any preferences and then simply move it to you Mac and all the settings stick. Not all mice allow this and many require you to use their software continuously.

Mac Users: One cool thing I got going for my mac was I set the back and forward keys to Keyboard shortcuts. I set the forward button to <command> + <right> and the back button to <command> + <left>. Once I set this it let me use the keys for forward and back while browsing with safari, it does screw up the forward and back settings when using the mouse in windows but I thought i was a neat little trick if anyone is a primarily Mac user.

First of all I would like to thank Razer for sending me the mouse for review. After having reviewed an array of mice and hearing so much about the DeathAdder, I was keen to see how it performed. The mouse can be found on AmazonUK for around £50 & AmazonUSA for around $50 - as I am a UK based reviewer I will be reviewing it at the £50 price tag.

After previously reviewing the SteelSeries Sensei [RAW], the Razer DeathAdder Chroma and even the Steelseries Sensei Wireless, I was interested to see how the Logitech G303 would compare and furthermore if it could dethrone my Anker mouse, which is my daily mouse, whereby the other mice weren't able to dethrone it.

Full specification and a description of the keyboard can be found on Logitech's website.

Build quality

The build quality of the mouse is excellent, from the switches found under the left and right buttons to the USB cable. The mouse is terminated by a braided USB cable - the added touch of the braided cable is nice when using the mouse on various surfaces.

The mouse itself is quite light, in fact according to Logitech it weighs only 87g without the cable, meaning the mouse is extremely lightweight. This can be a good and bad thing for some, depending on how heavy you like your mouse to be.
