Top customer reviews
I've reviewed over 50 mice now and this is one of the best. Considering how popular the G100s is, I'm sure it'll be a huge success. But will it be the only mouse that sells? No, because the shape isn't for everyone. I personally prefer the G303, while others need bigger mice.
- Top optical sensor (3366)
- Small ambidextrous design (with side buttons on the left)
- Omron switches (light buttons)
- Weighs about 85g (without cable)
- Logitech's software and overall quality
- RGB lights
- Tactile stepped but smooth scroll wheel
...even if you haven't used a G100s, you should probably give this one a try if you like small mice.
The possible con for some people could be mouse3. I've found that my copy doesn't click straight back up, so it'd be hard to click it rapidly. Check other reviews, see if they found the same.

Big thanks to Logitech for sending this out early! No bias though, I get sent a lot of mice. It doesn't influence my opinion on things, but I appreciate the support, of course.
I've included a couple of pictures of it with the G302 and G100s for size comparison.
The software: The software was easy to figure out, but not the easiest to locate (the download link), but after 5 minutes or so of digging through logitech's software library i found it. It has so many customizable features which can be linked to different profiles for different games. This is a huge help when say, you're playing an FPS and need to cool off because you have that one guy in comp that is playing an offensive sniper and wont switch or join your teams chat, you can change your game and the mouse / software will automatically choose what profile you have assigned for that game. So you're quick melee is now your rejuvenation in MMORPG, or something of the sort. The mouse software also allows you to calibrate any sort of surface or mousepad with it, so it stays shark and reliably responsive with the amount of sensitivity you want.
The mouse is very attractive and impressive. The lighting is well done and can be customized in the software, like most others relative to this one. The color can be set to different sleep times therefore making it able to rest instead of constantly cycling through a rainbow color pattern. Of course i don't use this setting, if something has the capability to change colors endlessly ill have it changing colors endlessly.
The mouse doesn't heat up besides the obvious body heat you'll release while using it. Its extremely comfortable, and fits almost perfectly in my hand. It has a nice weight, not to lite and not too heavy, i would call it a "controlled weight. " but that may not be the right terminology for it. Theres a button in the middle just above the mouse wheel that controls profiles / saved dpi setting, but like i said before, you can change this and customize it to anything you would like.
I can't honestly compare it to any of its competitors because i've not used them, but this mouse sure does kick my retired $20.00 Razer mouse's ass without a doubt. For a casual gamer who wants the a quality response time thats reliable, and to be able to customize nearly anything about the product this is a good fit, im sure. The price of this mouse is fair, and spending anything more than this wont necessarily get you that much other than cosmetics and the option of wireless. Remember, even though wireless is very advanced compared to a few years ago, it still has more latency when compared to a wire mouse. So if you're looking for quick response that you can count on, stay wired.
This is now my everyday mouse and i expect it to be for a good chunk of my future. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to upgrade out of the department store $20.00 mice.
I went for the G Pro because it has a shape and dimensions almost identical to the M100 I'm most familiar with, a fairly basic ambidextrous design. The soft textured plastic (I don't think it's rubberized?) feels much nicer than the cheap, glossy shell of a budget mouse. The side buttons sit right above my thumb as I grip my mouse, so they're functional but not obtrusive as someone who has never used more than a 3-button mouse in the past. The physical wheel is hard rubber and scrolls easily, with just enough tactile feedback.
I trust in the superior sensor to alleviate the problems I've had with cheap office mice, that of low-speed imprecision and high-speed spinout, and the DPI switch is a nice cherry on top. The DPI switch button can also be reprogrammed, along with everything else, on the Logitech Gaming Software which worked fine for me after downloading. I only used it to change my DPI settings from the default. I couldn't give a hoot about RGB lightning but it's nice to look at; pure white does look slightly bluish as many people report though. And it's nice that your default settings get saved in on-board memory, you don't have to keep the LGS running.
I've had no issue with ultra-light clicks that some have experienced with this model. I'm not sensitive about mouse feet. I like the heavy middle click. However, I can see why people dislike the braided cable! My KB/M sit on a pull-out tray, so my mouse cable hangs down freely from the back side and it grabs *ever-so-slightly* on the unfinished corner of the tray. It's really minor and doesn't bother me, but I have noticed it. I doubt I'd notice at all if it hung from a rounded or finished corner, or I used my mouse at desk level where the cord would be squirming around on a smooth surface, but I can understand why some people find it a problem.
The switches are rated for 20 million clicks, so hopefully they live up to their billing and I get my money's worth out of this mouse. It still basically feels like my M100 but with a lot more functionality and top-tier quality, I love it.
