I have been in the IT profession for 31 years now, and this is the best unit I have ever used. I have been using this combo unit for years, and love it. I am currently on my 2d combo unit, and getting ready to purchase my 3rd combo unit.
PROS:
Battery life. The batteries last longer than the imprinted characters on the keyboard. I have had my current combo unit 2 years, and the battery charge window says I still have a full charge. I'm using Duracell batteries.
Mouse: I love the 'back/forward' keys on the side of the mouse. You won't ever have to use the back/forward arrows on IE or Firefox.
Durable: I have spilled multiple things on it, and it keeps on working.
Keyboard: Smooth, and easy to find keys/buttons frequently used.
CONS:
The imprinted characters don't last long. So, if you don't have your keyboard layout memorized, you'll either have to keep replacing the entire unit, or, buy a character replacement stick-on kit. Mine is so worn out, the characters have been worn off, the space bar is now smooth, but at least the dents on "F" and "J" are still there to easily find "home row".

great keyboard and mouse

Comfortable to use (I have fairly average sized hands for a woman) - flip-out feet under keyboard are sturdy and prop the keyboard up at a good angle, built-in palm/wrist rest is excellent. Keyboard is good for everyone, mouse is good for righties.

Keyboard keys press down nicely and spring back quickly, don't require too much force or clunk too loudly. No noticeable delay in response for being wireless, with a single tiny dongle controlling both items - it only sticks out about half an inch, and is narrow enough it won't impede side-by-side ports or hang past the bottom of a slim laptop. Battery life is so far as ludicrously long as promised - keyboard still shows the full battery icon after several months of being left on almost constantly, and mouse hasn't needed any replacement in those several months either, even though I've also been leaving it on. (By contrast, my last home wireless mouse and all the ones at the office where I work would have needed at least one, if not two, after this long, even though I always turn them off when not using them.)

The included software is quite useful - you can program the function keys to be more useful to you, set the keys on the mouse to different functions in different programs, and even disable capslock if you're like me and rarely use it but press it fairly often by accident (that feature alone was well worth installing it). It also can tell you how the battery on both mouse and keyboard is holding up.

Love the set overall, but the mouse goes bad eventually

I really like this keyboard and mouse, and bought a set for both home and work. My wife also uses them for both home and work. The keyboard experience feels ergonomic and smooth, and I like the extra side-buttons on the mouse since I am a gamer. The extra buttons on the keyboard for calculator, volume, and music controls are nice as well. The mouse wheel can be locked/unlocked to make it scroll super fast, which I will use occasionally for scrolling rapidly through a document or spreadsheet.

My biggest complaint with these is the poor switches used in the mouse. I have had several of these go bad and start to behave erratically. It is usually most prevalent on the right mouse button. It will not hold down consistently and it will sometimes click several times in quick succession when you only want to click once. I really wish Logitech would start using better hardware in those.

One minor annoyance is the price fluctuation on these. I used to buy them for 70-75 dollars, and was really excited to see one on sale for 54. I left it in my cart for an hour and the price jumped up nearly 10 dollars to 60-something.

palm rest also beautifully, good size keyboard, both key board and mouse has on/off switch. Logitech has been my choice of keyboard and mouse for many years. they have not let me down. good job Logitech. Some how the mouse on this package is not response as good as other mouse, I had before. not as fast, has to have a perfect surface, or it will skipping. kind of disappointing for the price.

I like having wireless in my office on my desktop. Easy to move around and use a different surface without the restrictions of cables. Sometimes I eat lunch at my desk on the sliding tray and just move the keyboard well out of the way. I have had this combo for over 6 months and the mouse batteries are at 90% and the keyboard are at 95%. I like the feel of the keyboard and the mouse has all the functions that I need.

This Keyboard Has Everything

The Logitech MK710 Keyboard has a key for every letter of the alphabet, but only ten numeric keys. Since I've never been great at math, and I only have ten fingers, that's all the numeric keys I really need, anyway. And if that isn't enough, there's a whole row of "F" keys to tap on. Because it's a Bluetooth keyboard, I can get so far away from my computer display that I can't even see what I'm typing. And with the Bluetooth mouse, I can select, cut, copy and paste stuff I can't even read from across the room. All-in-all, the MK710 is a nice keyboard, but it does have a tendency to misspell some words.

But seriously, this is one of the nicest keyboards I've ever used, and I've used dozens of them over the years. So far, the MX710 hasn't lost connection with the computer, a problem I frequently encountered with much more expensive Logitech MX5000 Keyboard. The well-spaced keys of the MX710 have a crisp feel, are nicely indented to prevent my fat fingers from slipping off them, it's almost completely silent, and the price is reasonable. If this keyboard lit up, I'd give it six out of five stars (see, I told you I wasn't great at math).
