Great way to protect, store and veiw your PSP.

Having already owned the original Playgear Pocket for the "phat" PSP, when I bought my slim, I was clamoring for Logitech to make a version for the new PSP model.

Just like the original playgear pocket this case provides excellent protection for your PSP, the outside is clear dense plastic, and your PSP fits snuggly inside within a rubberized casing that covers both the top and bottom of the system. Additionally, you can use the Playgear Pocket as a viewing station for movies and such by simply flipping the top to the back, thus standing the system up.

Another cool aspect of the playgear pocket is that you can customize the cover to change up the look of your system. By removing the top inner rubber layer, you can place an image inside and then reinstall the rubber. Mind you, the image is one that you will have to find, print out and then cut to the shape of the cover, and in the package, Logitech supplies you with the template shape. Unfortunately it is here where I have to give the Playgear Slim its one fault. The template they give is NOT a precise fit. The lower portion of the template is not accurate and when you cut a design out using the template you will see that the lower indented areas are too short for the case, leaving some of the rubber visible. Now this is not a big fault, but its something that should not have happened and could have been avoided with some simple measuring on the part of Logitech. Im a big person on customization and looks so I had to mention this, because its really the only problem with this case.

Also be advise that this will add some weight and bulk to the PSP, so if youre looking for something really lightweight and sleek, this might not be the case for you. But if you are looking for a multifunction case that is built like a tank, then look no further

Well, it seems Logitech's production quality with electronics has been hit or miss recently, but fortunately this wonderful product is not electronic.

A clear blister shell made of polycarbonate ensures your PSP 2000/3000 does not get scratched, and the black molded rubber inserts protect the delicate electronics of the PSP from shock. It has a very attractive look from the moment you open the package.

The PSP is held very snugly in place by the rubber insert, requiring a firm pressure to place it in the case, so you have no worries about it falling out, even when you turn the case upside down with it open.

The case is of solid, sturdy construction, allowing you to fully open the case and prop up the PSP in a viewing position. It is specifically made so that all the bottom ports as well as the shoulder button are accessible while the PSP is in the case so you can listen to your music with the case closed and play your games without removing it. You only need to remove the system to change UMD's or to access the WLAN switch and USB port.

The back of the case has been molded for a more ergonomic grip so that playing the PSP while it is in the case is comfortable. This also allows the case to hold the PSP even with the Extended Battery Kit installed, which bulges the rear of the PSP, something most hard shell cases don't accommodate.

One thing this case will allow you to do that many won't, is customize the case it self. The rubber inserts can be removed and the included template will let you cut an image out to place under the rubber insert, showing through the clear blister shell. This allows you to change how you customize the PSP when ever you want, as often as you want, without permanently marking the case.

Overall, the sense of quality and effort exuded from this product is exemplary. With such an incredible product, one has to wonder why Logitech has stopped producing it with the PSP still selling well.

I ordered 3 PSPs for my niece & nephews. Since I'm sure those brats will take it with them just about anywhere & will probably stick it wherever it will fit, I made sure to include some protection. I just bought one Logitech PSP PlayGear just in case I don't like it. Well, it does what it says in the discription and it's a hard clear plastic, doesn't look cheap. You won't be embarrased owning one, in fact people would probably ask you where'd you get it & how much. In other words I bought two more. It looks black in the pic, that's the rubber inside the case which acts as cushion. It's like a clamshell, you open it a little or halfway & it will stay put like that, very nice. It acts like a shade from glares if you decide to play outdoor. It has a template so you could cut out some designed or printed cardboard or paper whichever you choose to insert between plastic & rubber. Me, I just stuck some stickers on to it to give it a distict appearance in accordance to those brats' personality. My only gripe is that it covers the headphone socket, the rest you can access & you can use your PSP without taking it out from the case. I highly recommend this product.

Update: No more gripe, it was my mistake. This product is perfect.
