Online school and testing has changed everything. After going through 3 other webcams, I bought this one because I was tired of buying cheap webcams. It has been a great purchase. Fill the screen with your id and it focuses. Put your face to fill the screen and then sit back for meetings and stuff. Weird at first, but it helps.

I recently purchased the Logitech HD Laptop Webcam C615 and am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The fold-and-go design makes it incredibly easy to take wherever I go, and the 360-degree swivel allows me to adjust the camera to any angle I need.
The 1080p camera is crystal clear and provides sharp, detailed images whenever I use it. I use this webcam for video conferencing, which is a game changer. The quality of the video is so good that it makes it feel like I'm in the same room as the person I'm talking to.
The autofocus feature is another excellent aspect of this webcam. It ensures that I am always in focus, no matter how much I move around. The built-in microphone is also perfect and picks up my voice clearly without background noise.
One of the things I appreciate the most about this webcam is the lack of software needed to install it. As a result, it was a breeze to set up and use, which is especially important since I'm not the most tech-savvy person out there.
Overall, I highly recommend the Logitech HD Laptop Webcam C615 to anyone needing a reliable and high-quality webcam. It is an excellent investment for anyone needing to video conference regularly or even for casual use. The fact that it is reasonably priced only makes it even more appealing.

Needed a Webcam for school and this was recommended by my school. Its very high quality and I like that it can swivel around 360 degrees. I wish the cord was a bit longer to the Webcam but other than that it's nice and compact.

Great little cam and for the price you it has already paid for itself. Light weight, good mic, and will serve your needs if, like me, all you really need it for is the occasional meeting. Highly recommend

This was my main webcam for a long time, but I've since upgraded. As a starter, it's decent. As a facecam, tucked away in the corner, it's all the average streamer or YouTuber needs. I was using it to record artwork, which it was okay at.
To start, it's very sturdy. I never once felt like it was going to break or fall apart on me. It has a screw mount for a tripod or scissor arm, which could be documented better, as I did not even notice it until after about a year of use. It had never occurred to me that the rubber seal on the bottom was hiding anything, and I had gone on assuming for quite a long time that it was there to reduce weight, since the rest of the base is a very heavy, dense material.
The sound quality is average for a webcam mic. I never used it, as I have much better sound equipment. If you're skyping with Grandma, it's fine. Nothing to complain about as a consumer-level product. If you're using it to produce content, mute the webcam and use an external sound input device.
The video, being a webcam, is the most important aspect. It's decent. Not the best. There's definitely worse out there. On wide shots, the colour balance is pretty good, but it degrades quickly on anything up close. This is problematic if you're using it to film art. It also can't handle a lot of black. Black is never rich or smooth, but tends to be either a dark void full of static, or a washed out grey full of static. In fact, there's generally a certain amount of static or flicker to the picture regardless of settings, which only seemed to get worse as the webcam got older. I don't think it was the sensor, but interference in the wiring somewhere.
The focus on it is decent, but if you're using it for macro shots, there's a certain point at which it over-corrects either way and can never seem to be in perfectly sharp focus. The focal length doesn't quite seem to to be able to dial in as delicately as it would need to for macro shots. It's always either constantly washed out or under-exposed with macro shots, leaving a lot of post-processing work. The colour and light balance, aside from the issues that I've already mentioned, resolve themselves with wide shots, and the focus behaves much better. If there's not a lot of black in your shot, the video becomes much more clear, without the static and flicker. This was a problem for me, since my chair is black, so it seemed like no matter how I tried to use this camera, it didn't quite produce the best quality image.
That said, I'm giving it four stars because as a consumer product, without having to worry about production values and similar, it is a good webcam. If you're not going to rely on it for web content, it will do the job and work for you for a long time. It does record in native 1080p, even if not with the best picture quality. I've never had any latency issues with this webcam, and its plug and play capabilities make it ready to use straight out of the box. It just was not a good fit for me and the content I produce.

Plug & play (used with a Windows 11 machine), easy to set up, picture quality is decent for the price.
It's not as good as my iPhone 13's front-facing camera, but it is about as good as my HP Spectre x360's webcam. If your laptop has a really poor quality webcam, this will be an upgrade for you.
When working, I usually use external monitors and keep my laptop off my desk, so it's a weird angle for the laptop's built-in webcam when attending virtual meetings. I'm using this camera to get a more natural position. It does the job!
As others mentioned, the USB cable isn't very long. I keep a USB hub under my monitors, so it wasn't an issue for me. You might want to get an extension cable or consider other options if you need the cable to travel several feet.

Clear video but sometimes lag or blur

Camera working in average. Video and voice working good. But this price segment is very high for this camera.
If you want to buy it's a good product but very costy.
If you have some extra money to buy another product.

Weak connection to the camera
Reviewed in Canada on May 2, 2023Style: WebcamVerified Purchase
Excellent video quality. The lens fold-and-go design is compact and safe to carry in a computer bag. It would be nice if the connection of the usb cord to the camera was removable. My experience with a permanent connection between the usb cord and the camera is that with time as the cord is bent over at the connection point, the cord starts to fray. This is especially a problem with a labtop camera which will be stored in a narrow pocket of a laptop case.

Good for the price

Camera works well for work meetings, but I have found that I can not default wide angle view, which can be a problem depending on your setup and number of people needed to fit in frame. The camera its self is sturdy and the picture quality is good. My only real complaints are with its software. For Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings it works well. Mic is good so long as you are right in front of it. When you are off to a side the voice doesn't come in clear.
