Stylish, Simple, Portable - That's What This Does Best

I got this to go with a light travel laptop and wanted something thin to match my laptop and not have a bulge in my laptop sleeve.
Also, as my laptop has a touch screen - only wanted something to use on occasion when I needed extra pointer precision.
My final options were the Microsoft Arc Touch and this Logitech mouse.
I choose this Logitech mouse because of the simpler design and top touch surface.

For the most part, I'm very satisfied with this as a travel mouse.
It took time to get used to the single-click design and very odd right and middle clicks (click with one finger over certain areas).

For some odd reason, this needs a browser extension for smooth scrolling.
I don't know why this is necessary and I don't like unneeded software on my computing devices.

This is sufficient for my use case but I can already feel its limitations.
The size is really compact and feels like it's for finger tips, thus not ergonomic so extended use.
For power users that need more than left-click a lot, this will probably slow you down.
Maybe the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse would be better as a compromise to a full sized bulky mouse.

I like this mouse. It's small so it works well on a smaller desk/work area, has 3 button functionality but acts in may ways like the Apple mouse. I use it as my primary mouse (except for CAD design software) at my iMac and on the road with my MacBook Pro. Works well with Windows.

This review is being written 3 years 2 months after I bought it, and I finally had to replace it as the battery is wearing out. It will only stay charged for a couple of days, but at first it went a few weeks. That's good, as a mouse which needs a new replaceable battery each month won't be any cheaper than this mouse - nor as convenient if you are traveling. I just bought a replacement (black color, much cheaper than the white one).

Overall, this purchase worked out well.

Enclosed picture showing side by side comparison with another bluetooth touch mouse i got on amazon at same time - microsoft wedge mouse. This one is so much better. Its much flatter which i like. Also easy to push the buttons. Its reasonably light but not feather weight. If you have to scroll up and down a lot tho it does get tiring and using index finger is alot slower than a scroll wheel with touch feedback disengaged so i will need a backup mouse for lengthy documents. Plus if only it was wider i could rest my whole hand on iit which currently cannot. I think its supposed to be grasped with thumb like a traditional mouse which im trying to avoid But basic functionality of flat and easy pushing and clicking is good enuf to to keep. The wedge has to go back.

Excellent mouse with some caveats that have been mentioned in other reviews. I love the size (very small) because it easy to carry in my computer case. I can easily see how it would be too small for some people, but it works for me. I also like the touch surface on the top, it worked very well for me but you need to read the instructions. There is technically only one button on this thing and it performs different actions depending on how many and where your fingers are located on the top when you press down and "click" the mouse. You can't just rest your hand on this mouse and expect it to do exactly what you want when you click. It's size doesn't lend itself to this anyway, so it wasn't a problem for me. This mouse also requires a flat hard surface too because the whole upper casing (essentially everything you touch) moves when you "click", the bottom of the mouse HAS to be on a firm surface or nothing will happen. Again not a problem for me, but if you use a mouse on a couch arm or something, this probably isn't your best choice.

I grew up with computers, I guess like very many others, and have collected over my lifetime more mice than single pairs of socks, of which I have an entire drawer-full. There's always something I hate about a mouse, no matter how costly the investment in it. Too fat, too low, too cheap and plasticy-feeling, too light (flies off desk easily), too long (doesn't fit in briefcase pocket), and my all-time most hated problems--poor tracking (usually a sluggish tracker) and bluetooth sleep function that turns the mouse off while I'm in the middle of my work. This Logitech mouse, however, is the best mouse I've bought in all the years I've been collecting these techno-rodents. It's phenomenally small (so literally fits in my pants pockets or any pocket of my briefcase). Despite its compact size, it's very well constructed with it's chilled brushed aluminum side facade complementing the silky smooth matte plastic function-imbued top combining to give the mouse a pleasantly surprising heft. Though half the size of my Best Buy "portable" Bluetooth mouse, this Logitech version is heavier and, therefore, more stable in my hand.

To address my biggest pet peeves with mice, first, the tracking on the Logitech is superb. Its directed cursor glides across my screen just as smoothly as if I were using my machine's already excellent trackpad. Also, the base of the mouse, three smooth plastic pads, works just as well on wood as on a faux-leather desktop pad as on, and I'm using it here now, my flannel bed-clothes. I've never before been able to use a mouse on my bed-sheets. What's more, the mouse appears not to go to sleep. I'll happily sacrifice battery longevity to keep the mouse active. As soon as I touch the mouse the cursor springs to life. I loathed having to wait for the Bluetooth signal to reconnect to my machines in the past. This functionality alone would make this one of my favorite mice. I should add, though, that there's an on/off button under the mouse. I just turned it off at the end of the previous sentence, waited a while, turned it back on, and IMMEDIATELY the BT connected and the mouse works as flawlessly as initially.

I agree with others that the mouse is too small for extended use (8+ hours), but I'll be using it in my classes and in the field, as well as intermittently at home. I wanted a mouse that was so slight I didn't have to think about space in transporting it. This mouse fits the bill perfectly. That it works seamlessly with my laptop is an unexpected boon. Just a terrific mouse--I may even buy several for holiday presents this year.
