Great 1080p webcam for under $70

Great webcam that takes crisp clean videos even at 1080p 30fps and 1080p 60fps. You have to get different software to get it to run at 60fps and your computer has to be able to handle the load that is placed on the processor. I did a few test pictures and videos and I was impressed with the quality. Sound is decent but you have to sit close to the webcam to get a clear sound, it does do stereo sound. I bought a cheap mic to solve that problem. Only thing missing is a lens cover to protect the glass from dust and impact. You can go to the logitech website and download their software if you want to record quick webcam videos or download other software such as OBS which is free.

Way better than my old C270

I absolutely love this webcam. I have been running a youtube channel for a long time and only had the Logitech C270 to use for it. The difference between this and that is night and day, huge difference and im so happy I made the upgrade. It catches lighting perfect and has a very good image quality as well as nice auto focusing.The image and video I took with this for this amazon review are in normal evening room lighting with one lamp in the corner of the room. Usually for better quality I have an extra light in front of my face but for the purposes of showing it for the average setup I did not include the extra light. Now onto some pros and cons!

Pros:
~One of the top quality video/picture qualities available on any webcam
~smooth and fast video at 30fps regardless of what you are broadcasting with or recording with
~more than decent lighting adjustments even on automatic settings
~Logitech webcam software is not as bad or horrible as the internet makes it out to be, what I recorded for this was done using that.
~Widescreen with full 1080p support
~Comes with a ferite core on the cable to help with the quality sent

Cons:
~Slightly blurry, for the hype I thought it would be up to par with modern phone cameras on clarity but thats my own expectations and not a promise from them at all
~Built in microphones are not good quality, better to spend $30 on a better mic setup, to get started I suggest something like the NW-700 which is what I recorded the video with and I did not edit or modify the sound at all.

Overall I love this camera, it works well, installed automatically, and serves all of its purposes beautifully.

INCOMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10 64-bit

Logitech's website has a nice little "matrix" of Webcams and OSes... which recommends a certain driver, the ONLY driver it 'recommends' for Win 10 64-bit.
Part of the release notes for that driver? "Only Certified for Windows 8. Only Installs on Windows 8."
The driver claims to install, but the computer reminds me on every boot up to "complete the driver installation." And no software will recognize that the camera is even plugged in.
I cannot recommend this camera unless you're using Windows 8 or older - they do not appear to have ANY certified Windows 10 Drivers, despite the time the OS has been available.

It sure looks pretty, though.

This Camera is what i expected and whats even better was i got it on sale for $50. I was gonna buy it for the normal price aanyways but the fact that it was on sale when i bought it is even better. I use it for making videos for my public presentations class and also for streaming on TWitch.tv.... It has excellent quality and i like the wide view it gives. If you are not into the wide angle cameras then this may not be for you but im sure there is some way you could adjust it. Im not sure though on that.

Pros: Not too much cost wise compared to most cameras.
Wide View and Clear View
Looks nice on top of my monitor.
It is also able to be put on a stand.

Cons: Nothing really that i have any problems with.

BUY IT!!!!

I included a picture of my ugly mug just to show you what a picture on this camera looks like. Also this is low lighting and it looks like i have quite a bit of lights on which is nice!(Excuse the messiness)

Top notch webcam, full 1080p and crystal clear! I'm a streamer and this is a definite upgrade from a previous 720p webcam. If you are a streamer looking for an upgrade get this cam :)

UPDATE(11/13/2017): Webcam still going strong. Super clear hasn't given any trouble. Has been the best webcam upgrade I could have ever done. 100% recommended :)

Okay. First, this webcam does all that they say it does. Buy it! That being said, however, if you're a not-very-techie 70-something like I am, you might discover that it doesn't work when you first plug it into your Mac. And then, when you go to the Logitech website, you find downloads for Windows software to run the thing, but nothing for Mac. And then when you read the product literature, you find that it does actually sort of say that it'll work with a Mac, but when you call the Logitech number for Support, you speak with some guy in God-knows-where who tells you that, sadly, the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 isn't wired to work with a Mac, so, sorry to say, you shouldn't have bought this one. So then you're faced with returning the camera to Amazon and resuming the search for a suitable webcam. Until, that is, you discover the YouTube video by the guy who says that you actually need only to go to the app for which you bought the webcam in the first place -- Skype, in my case -- go to Preferences, click on Audio/Video, and select the HD Pro C920, which will appear in the drop-down menu. I tried it and, sure enough, it works. Good thing I stuck with it for a few days and didn't immediately ship the webcam back. NOW the furshlugginer thing is worth 5 Stars.
