Our Company History
In 1928, at the age of twenty-two, Peter Beilenson began printing books on a small press in the basement of his parents’ home in Larchmont, New York. Peter and later, his wife, Edna sought to create fine books that sold at prices even a pauper could afford.
Today, still family owned and operated, Peter Pauper Press continues to honor our founders’ legacy and our customers’ expectations of beauty, quality, and value.

So it was that time again to buy a new journal and I visited the usual places, but couldn't find the journal that "felt right."
One day, I happened to see this journal in my Amazon Newsfeed (or whatever you call it). I had purchased the Lollipop Tree bookmark a while ago, and now they were showing me other Lollipop Tree stuff. I love that bookmark, because of the beautiful bright pink colors. And now they have a journal with the Lollipop Tree? I looked at the pictures of the journal and right away I was like "nope." The journal didn't have a margin line. All my journals have margin lines. I do not write in journals without margin lines. I decided not to purchase it and continue my quest for the perfect journal. A week went by and I still hadn't found anything that would live up to my expectations. I saw this journal again in my newsfeed. I went through the pictures one more time. It just looked so pretty! I then decided to give it a shot and buy it. I'm so glad I did. When the journal arrived and I held it in my hands, it just clicked. The size was perfect, the color of the pages were perfect, the Lollipop Tree looked beautiful; it was just amazing. I thought not having a margin line would bother me, but I got over it fairly quickly. I love my new journal.
(I do secretly hope Peter Pauper Press will make journals with margin lines in the future, but one can only dream).
I am a journal fanatic and this is where I get them from. Each journal even comes with an uplifting and literary quote on the back sticker. I usually remove the sticker But leave these on because I feel like the quotes are so intimate.
I have been gifted journals from Paris And London and those ones are still my favorite. Always.
