This dvd is a great value for the price. It contains just the two Lone Ranger theatrical films with no restoration work done to them and no extras, but the quality is fine. I usually expect bigger, more expansive plots for movies than I do for television series, but these two films both feel like extra-length tv episodes with more location filming, more money for stunts, and a bit more violence. Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels are THE Lone Ranger and Tonto for me, and I enjoyed seeing both of them in what were for me new adventures, since I had never seen either movie before. Recommended.

Who didn't like the Loan Ranger on Saturday mornings when they were kids? Who doesn't like the Lone Ranger now? The Lone Ranger taught us the bad guys always lose. It taught us to be honest and truthful at all times. It taught us much more good things hidden in a story that we just couldn't wait to see early in the morning. Today the junk on TV is terrible, it doesn't teach our kids values, and its just a waste of time. My grandkids and great-grand daughter really liked these stories. Its the family's goal to keep them from watching the junk on TV today that they claim will help our kids be better citizens. Citizens are better when that have good values, follow the laws, and seek Jesus as their one and only Lord.
