This travel guide is fantastic. Not only was it full of interesting sites and historical information, it was up to date and a perfect resource for our trip. We saw it in a number of other languages and served as a great conversation starter with other travelers (-great book, huh? -the best! -check this place out). Lonely Planet is the only travel guide I will purchase from now on.

For my December 2016 this book came in very handy.
Strongly recommend. Albeit the restaurant scene is changing so fast that some places are not listed or have moved. But most are right on target with excellent recommendations and descriptions.
As for the sights and transport info, I would have been incredibly lost without this Lonely Planet guide.

Always a fan of Lonely Planet as a starting place to plan my trips. Love that they include websites and other resources to refer to for more information. This had a lot of information for the US Citizen traveling to Cuba, as this area is still a grey one.

I'm a fan of the Lonely Planet series and this Cuba edition does not disappoint. It's full of worthy information including the history of Cuba which is an important read in beginning to understand why Cuba is what it is today.

All the recommended places are very touristy now. I would very strongly recommend you download maps.me for your phone and just explore on your own, inquiring with locals or other tourists for recommendations, rather than use this book.

This is an excellent guide for a trip to Cuba! In fact we saw people with it all over the island, even in other languages.
Thorough and accurate, and very helpful for Americans travelling there for the first time!

Very informative. I loved how well it's written and how the authors tell about the Cuban history. However, the prices of food have increased by at least 50%. Bring lots of extra cash!!
