Welcome to Cuba!
Timeworn but magnificent, dilapidated but dignified, fun yet maddeningly frustrating – Cuba is a country of indefinable magic.
It’s these rich dichotomies that make travel here the exciting, exhilarating roller-coaster ride it is.From rural Viñales to urban Havana, it’s as if the whole country is slowly awakening from a deep slumber. Come now and ride the wave.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
Since wifi was not readily available in the places I went - this book was my main source of information.
Two of the restaurants - The Pink Cow in Veradero and O'Reilly 304 in Havana - that got high marks in the book - were fantastic!
This guide is badly organized.
The numbers for locations on the Havana maps are difficult to use because the corresponding numbers in the text are buried or missing altogether.
Worse, there are significant sights that are simply omitted from this guide with no explanation.
I quit using this guide after 2 days on the ground in Havana.
I then had to rely on my own legwork on the ground - it would have been helpful to have an accurate guide book.
Then, when we were IN Cuba, Wifi was spotty and this book was a great help in suggesting restaurants, places to see and explaining the context of what we were experiencing.

Also all the attractions that the book mentioned (museums etc.) are mainly empty spaces with some pictures on the walls. So I am not sure why LP are trying to build hype for something basically non-existent.
Still a fantastic guide book which I used everyday on my trip
I recommend always getting the latest one if you can
