Top reviews from other countries
It's a book I go back to regularly, just to flip through, or to pick out some highlights for a potential trip. Many places here were new to me, but are now firmly on my radar.
Two of the negative reviews did make me laugh. These people are massive travel snobs. Imagine avoiding the Great Wall, the Grand Canyon or the Taj simply because they are popular! Be thankful you will be able to enjoy the world's sites without bumping into such judgemental and arrogant travellers.
As for criticising the order, there are a few head-scratching choices here (Brecon Beacons at 365 and Ben Nevis at 316, to name but two), but this is the price you pay when asking LP readers for their favourite sights (Australians have managed to get 5 of the top 33). Overall, this is a minor quibble. After all, no two people would ever agree on such a list.
Perfect for a present for anyone who loves to travel or for yourself to brighten up the coffee table. 120 down, 380 to go!
Even worse, my book came with 13 pages missing and 13 other pages duplicated. Planning to visit Argentina in a few months and one of the sites is in the missing pages. Very helpful.
