Krokus Nails It, Even With A Surprising Setlist
on October 13, 2014
Very good live CD, but be aware. If you're an American fan of Krokus, you will probably be surprised that only one song is from three of the band's four most successful CDs in the U.S.--Headhunter, The Blitz, and Change of Address--which were released between 1983 and 1986. Most of the material is either from the newer CDs (since 2007) or from three CDs that were released from 1980 to 1982--Metal Rendez-Vous, Hardware, and One Vice at a Time, the latter of which brought the band its first U.S. hit, Long Stick Goes Boom. I assume that the band chose its setlist with its larger European audience in mind, as Krokus became a strong radio presence in Europe with those three CDs released between 1980 and 1982 and continues to be more popular in Europe than in the U.S. I get the reason for the live CD's setlist, and I like the CD a lot, but I have to admit to being a bit surprised by the song choices.
