"This modern retelling of the prodigal story delves into heavier topics such as abuse and rape, but with such a careful touch, it never felt overwhelming. As usual, the writing was lyrical and very visual, like a movie playing in front of me." ~ Heather Day Gilbert, USA Today Bestselling Author
"Becky once again has simply blown me away. Everything she was [wrote] about came across so raw and emotional. This was a great final book to this series." ~ S. Sanford, Amazon Customer
From the Author
A Long Way Home is the third book in The Fallout Series. Although the books in this series build on the previous one, each one can be read as a standalone novel. There are a few loose ends in each one, but the main story lines are brought to some form of closure, so readers will enjoy the satisfaction of a solid "The End." Of course, I do hope you'll read each book, and in order, because the series is written chronologically and the supporting characters of each book are introduced in the preceding book in the series. A Long Way Home is about Savannah Clark and Jordan Ransome, Tish Ransome's closest brother, who was introduced in Book 2: A Light in the Dark.
I hope you enjoy getting to know these friends and families who live on Maple Avenue in Midtown, Southern California. Although Midtown is a fabricated place, it is loosely based off the city of Redlands, California. So far, all my novels either take place in Midtown or are about characters who come from Midtown. If you pay attention, you'll find familiar settings and people crossing paths from one novel to another, and from one series to another, as well.
