As a big fan of the old Top Gear (and still happy for the slightly lesser Grand Tour), I really enjoy the camaraderie of good friends, great vehicles, and putting all of that to the test on epic road trips. My brother and I take our cars on long trips whenever we can, and always have a blast. Nothing remotely on the scale here, but still a joy.
This program, unscripted, gives a sense of really being there, through the highs and lows, frustrations, massive challenges and resulting euphoria of overcoming the obstacles to reach one's goals. Downright inspiring, really, and a pleasure to see the friendship of two very real people not to mention the fantastic front row seat to all of the amazing places and people seen along the way on this incredible trip.
Hats off to BMW for some amazing bikes. I don't ride and wouldn't take my beloved Bimmer into harsh lands, haha, but what impressive machines, to make it through to the end.
Seeing the world also in this way gives a bit of hope for humanity. Seems society is often so burdened with hate and division, especially these days, so being reminded that there are other, better ways of living is refreshing and is a good lesson on what's important in life, that doesn't exist on some political platform or social media pushing device.
This is definitely worth watching! Only wish it didn't have to end. Could watch these guys traveling the world on their bikes forever!
