I read this book in a weekend and it was everything that you could possibly want in a short and sweet novel that hits all the marks. Elle is a likable heroine with her own issues, which she works through and more or less resolves by the end. Devon is everything you could want out of a sexy and smart hero. If you're looking for a well-written, well-edited, and thoroughly entertaining (aka steamy) weekend read, I would recommend this one.

"The Long Weekend" is definitely a romance that keeps you guessing - especially regarding the main character's next course of action! Elizabeth is an insecure yet bold main character whose vacillation regarding both her family obligations and love life reflects the flawed reasoning of many in real-life, thus making her quite relatable. My favorite aspects had to be the relationship of both Elizabeth and her love interest with Elizabeth's grandmother. Two main characters courting each other while sharing a mentor is not something I've seen often, and it's a dynamic I really enjoyed! I look forward to seeing more romance works from Flood.

Anyone who was an awkward teen with a huge crush will be rooting for Elle the whole way through and feel satisfied about the turn of events for her so many years later.
