I read a lot of these variations and will forget the sex and writing soon enough, but I will not forget the ridiculous and unnecessary Silly Man! comments.
First, Elizabeth is treated like an airhead who is unable to assert herself at all. This is so at odds with Jane Austen's Elizabeth that they no longer resemble each other except physically. Darcy totally dominates her, making all decisions--major and minor--for the two of them. While this at first seems endearing, after pages and pages of it, it borders on being pathological. At the very least, Elizabeth would have found a way to stand up to her mother.
This brings us to the "honeymoon" phase of the book. Unlike some reviewers, I wouldn't call it porn, but it is poorly written prurient imaginings that would only entertain a very naive adolescent. And it is boring. Who could believe it: sex that is boring, but it is.
I am giving this two stars because the plot deserves to be a story, just not this story. Don't waste your money on this. There are many other, better written, better conceived Austenia books out there.
