The Look of Love: The Life and Times of Paul Raymond, Soho's King of Clubs Paperback – April 4, 2013

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 45 ratings

In the heyday of his sleaze empire, Raymond was for many the brash personification of nouveau riche vulgarity. For others, he expemlified the entrepreneurial spirit that enabled a poor boy from Liverpool to become Britain's richest man. This book follows him from his strict Catholic upbringing to the isolation and paranoia of his old age.

Interesting stuff. But you need to know a bit about him first to get it. Was a great documentary though!

5.0 out of 5 stars A convincing biographical drama

Good quality DVD - played well & clear on my computer.

The principle characters and the scripts were all very convincing, and the focus of the biography interesting, hence it gave my curiosity about Paul Raymond a good run for the money.

The Soho girls looked really lovely.

A biographical drama to treasure.

I really enjoyed this book. It had plenty of atmosphere, was well written, giving a very good feeling of what London clubland was like, and the characters who were around at the time. I would certainly recommend it.
