I bought this to share with my 4th graders before I left for my own trip to Uganda. They enjoyed the beautiful photos and learning about things that come from Africa. And they learned that Africa is a diverse continent, not a country!

I love this selection for young kids and am giving it to my parents to read to my niece and nephew over Thanksgiving. The graffics/pictures and writing appeal to kids that I have taught up to sixth grade. Great service-arrived ahead of time-in excellent condition, and a favorite!

This book has great pictures and is a wonderful resource for learning about the African culture! My students loved all the information they learned about what was created in Africa and kept coming up to me to show me what they had discovered.

I purchased this (soft-covered) book as an addition to a safari theme birthday gift for a girl celebrating her 12th birthday. When I reviewed it before wrapping, I discovered a lot about Africa myself! Helpful reading material with great supporting photos make this book a pleasure to read. I included it with two more books about Africa, a journal (to write in), an African bracelet, a safari tank top, and other small treasures from my own trip to Kenya in 2007.
