Misunderstanding in high school has Sadie & Jax at odds. But time has dimmed the hurt since Jax is after all her older brother Chase’s best friend. But a new situation arises and Sadie gets to live out her fantasy with both Jax and Grayson but will her feelings and beliefs prevent her from potential happiness? It’s a story worth reading to know.
This book was amazing! I pulled an all-nighter because I couldn’t put it down. In my opinion those are the best kind of books. The ones that have you so drawn in that you become vested in the story. You have to continue to read to find out what happens next and you just can’t put it down. Next thing you know it’s 4am and you’ve finished the book! This book was definitely one of those for me.
We have 3 main protagonists Sadie, Jax & Grayson. Sadie has her own You Tube channel that supports her income. She makes Cosplay costumes and does How To videos. Grayson will help model the costumes for her. Her dream is into get into the big leagues and work on Hollywood productions. Jax is her older brothers friend from HS but they all hang out in group together. Grayson is dating Jax. Can 3 people remain friends after an innocent afternoon of fun or will it destroy their friendship? Was it ever truly innocent? You’ll have to read this superb book by Allyson Lindt to find out.
I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.
Sadie has fantasized about Jax and Grayson, who are already a couple, for years. After brushing off their teasing and flirting over and over she finally succumbs to their mutual attraction. But she knows she's just a temporary fling for them and now worries someone is going to get hurt...probably her. But is temporary really what they want?
This story starts by jumping right into the moment that this threesome's relationship takes a leap into the deep end. Sadie's past hurts and conflicted feelings lead to confusion and misunderstandings all around. Maybe it's because we only see Sadie's perspective but I was very frustrated with how upset Jax and Grayson were with her when she expressed her feelings when they finally revealed to her what they actually wanted from her in their relationship. It did not feel like a constructive, open conversation, but more like they were pissed she didn't immediately give them what they wanted when it required a complete overhaul in her thought processes from what she had believed they'd wanted. It felt unfair to me that she apologized for her reaction and basically had to nearly beg for the opportunity to even do that. While I did enjoy the story, perhaps I would have benefited from seeing a bit from the men's perspectives.
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving an honest review.
