About the Author

Many of the scenes Pamela describes are adaptations of actual events. When she was a child her late father, a New Hampshire Forest Service employee and avid sportsman, often took her hiking in the White Mountains to scout game. Indeed there actually is a bear's den, although its location will forever remain a secret. Her memories of their great adventures were partly the inspiration for this novel. Pamela and her husband divide their time between their log home in southern New Hampshire and their North Country cabin where they enjoy fly-fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling and hiking. This is her first novel.

Will Audrey overcome her fears of loss and recognize her feelings for Ben before it's too late? or will jealousy stand in her way ? Will Ben succeed in catching the bear poachers and win his woman? Will Seamus be lost in the night with the Heilan Coo and her baby? Will the missing deaf child be found before the mountain lion finds him? Will Audrey's Dad break through his own emotional wall and be there for his daughter? Will Audrey leave Loon Cove forever? I had to read until I knew all the answers. Now, I still want more about Loon Cove!

What a delightful book!! love the way it is written- the author has a beautiful way with words. The story line kept me engaged and wanting more. I love the way she describes nature - you feel like you are there and can almost smell the trees and water. Her insightful prose at times made me stop and re-read lines as it really made me connect with the characters. This is a heartwarming story and I look forward to more from this author! I highly recommend this!!

What a great book. I literally sat down for 4 hours because I just couldn't put it down.
Coming from New Hampshire and personally knowing Pam made this book special to me. I felt I was back home again. It has everything in it to keep you interested: Romance, mystery, heartache and loss and survival. I have already passed it on to friends so they can enjoy it as well. Job well done, Pam. Time to get started on your next one

This book is an enjoyable adventure with intricately placed surprises. The book's pages contain intrigue, romance, lovable and despicable characters, and perspectives that would appeal to male and female readers. The author introduces a surprising number of characters, yet there is still the homey feel of a town "north of the notch" and all of their roles are slowly revealed as the story unfolds. This book was such a great find... I know where I'll be planning my next NH vacation!

As fan of the wilderness I picked this up being curious by the title. I really liked the feel for the outdoors the author projected and the detail that was described. A few times I found myself picturing the woods and almost feeling that sensation you get with the wind in your face as it comes off of the lake. If you're an outdoors person (man or woman) you should definitely read this book.

For those readers who have never traveled to New Hampshire, LOON COVE is an opportunity to experience the beauty of this state, if only from the comfort of their armchairs. Beautifully written, the story flows nicely from one scene to the next and truly depicts life in rural New England.

This story has it all: adventure, mystery, excitement and best of all--romance! The author has an uncanny ability to weave her tale in a unique setting that makes you feel "at home" instantly. A real page turner. Can't wait for her next book.
