Like others, I have been following this incredibly talented trio on YouTube for quite some time. For that reason, I purchased and recommend the Deluxe Edition which includes a few of the cover songs, including my favorite, Adele's "Rolling In The Deep".

It's difficult to describe their style but it definitely has elements of jazz fusion, R&B, and heavy on the synthpop (mp3 metadata on the tracks downloaded from Amazon simply say "pop"). Even my wife, whose tastes list toward Katy Perry and Duran Duran, and tolerates or sometimes detests the jazz I listen to, said they were "great" and enthusiastically agreed to join me at a Dirty Loops live performance when they hit our town later this year.

The music has all of the listenability, danceability, and energy of anything you'll hear on the radio but unlike most radio music it can keep your brain fully engaged if you're one of those people that really listens to music.

I'm currently hooked on Hit Me, Lost In You, and The Way She Walks (great drum solo)! Also loving Sayonara Love--the chorus is incredibly catchy, I think this one is destined for radio success.

Yes, they are so unbelievably good, I believe they are.
I've been seriously listening to music for 48 years, and have never heard anyone better than these guys. This record has echoes of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Pat Metheny, among others. If you love pop seamlessly integrated with jazz fusion, R&B and other genres, and want to hear so many hot drum, bass and keyboard licks (in addition to some great vocals and vocal runs), get this record! These aliens can do it all. A five star recording...

I am a great appreciator of good music - I love all kinds as long as it is good.
Two years ago I clicked on Dirty Loops' cover of Adele's hit "Rolling in the Deep" while in YouTube. Today I believe it was Divine intervention that guided my mouse and me....These guys had me from "We could have had it all..."

There's something undeniably Rock 'n Roll about them - You wonder what they would sound like really really loud.
But also I want something interesting from recordings; something that will bear repeated listenings and still give up surprises that weren't heard before.
"Wake Me Up" starts with a train track chica chica chica beat and you start slipping into a nice groove. Soon you are wondering if there is another source of music emanating from the next room....the chord progression in the chorus does something unfamiliar - a little uncomfortable....and it has my attention. I'm trying to figure out what it's doing and then I'm dancing in my seat again..
You don't have to like jazz to appreciate this music, but it would help. I think what I'm trying to say is: This is art.
Art is not meant to make you feel comfortable and sedated - it's meant to connect you to life, to feeling, to being present, to understanding communication on a more true level than words can express. It will reach for your attention in ways unexpected.
This particular art hooks me into a more noble expression - reminds me I'm something greater, broader, brighter and beautiful. They make me want to be a better writer so I can express how I feel about their music - Holy crap I think I'm in love!
This group is in my best beloved category with Jimi Hendrix and Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Adam Lambert, Leonard Cohen, Sarah Vaughan, Pat Metheny, Renee Fleming and many more.
Dirty Loops you have my attention because your music is positively thrilling!

Well crafted, exciting, carefully thought out pop. Fantastic musicians, players, songwriting, arranging and production. These guys are going to be big, if not as performers than as teen idols. I'm typically a jazz/fusion guy, but these guys are just so freakin' fun to listen to.

I've waited three years for this CD after seeing the Circus cover on YouTube... These guys are great!! Give a listen to the samples or see their videos on youtube.. The CD is really good although it's missing two cuts that were on the Japanese release.....Their covers are incredible. The original songs are good. Truthfully I wouldn't mind if they did mostly covers as they excel at it...I'm sure the original music will get better and better with time. My very favorites are "Wake Me Up" "RollerCoaster" "Lost in You" "Crash and Burn Delight" "Hit Me" "Die for You" and "Sexy Girl"... Loved hearing real strings and the great Jerry Hey horn section and arrangements.. Engineering and mixing is wonderful. Well packaged, good liner notes, fun music to drive to. It will be in my auto CD player for a long time!!!! These guys are just incredible musicians!!! All of them...BUY THIS don't steal it...I wish them all the best. *** UPDATE*** the CD is in my car... these songs are seriously catchy.

These guys are mind boggling. Each is a virtuoso on his given instrument, but even in this rarified air of talent the bassist stands out. You have to be exceptionally good to play in a fusion trio, and the bassist wears a lot of hats...like percussion, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar.
I have to admit it is pretty easy to get fatigued at all of this virtuosity. But every cover tune they do sounds a lot better(to my ear anyway) than the original. The singer's range is astronomical, and just when you think he couldn't possibly sing higher, he does. And he is very soulful, like Stevie Wonder or Donny Hathaway. He is also an incredible keyboard player.
Wake Me Up is a standout, as is Roller Coaster, with a horn arrangement by the great Jerry Hey.

I can't wait to hear what these guys do next...an ultra talented group of musicians!
