The first video in a series of instructional knitting DVDs from LoriKnits will show you the very best in tips, tricks and techniques. Included are:
- 5 Different Cast-Ons
- 5 Decreases and when/how to use them
- Knitting in your ends as you go
- Knitting backward
- Cable without a cable needle
- Advanced cable without a cable needle
- and more...
But that's only the beginning! To make things even better, we've included a CD for your computer that works on both PC and MAC. Throughout the DVD, you'll see graphic screens that highlight the most important points discussed. From the CD, you can print those screens. And for times when you can't have a DVD player handy, you can print the instructions for how to do the techniques you learn from watching the DVD. These instructions read just like a book.

Top customer reviews
As I am a male knitter, I especially like the sections on cabling without a cable needle, because most of the projects I work on for myself are cabled sweaters. The production was excellent, and the close-ups of the instructors hands are very easy to follow along with. Everything that is taught on the DVD has these very clear close-ups. Another great part about this being a DVD is you can pause it very easily and see exactly what's going on without flickering like a VHS tape would do. That's one reason I was staying away from VHS tapes when deciding to buy a video.
I printed out the instructions from the included CD and keep them with me wherever I go with my knitting. For the price, I don't think I could have found anything else like this. I can't believe how inexpensive all this great material is.
1) 10 minutes of content and 90 minutes of fluff (IE art of knitting)
2) Many topics but not enough coverage on any one topic to really understand the material.
This video is the perfect balance, there is no fluff and each topic is given enough time to allow the view to learn. The "students" that were chosen to sit in for this video offer a nice point of view on the topics and show that we're not supposed to get it right off the bat.
The addition of a CD to allow the viewer to print review sheets for each topic is a very nice touch. I printed them before I watched and took notes on them as I watched.
Thanks Lori. I'm looking forward to future releases from LoriKnits.
