The cookies themselves are somewhat plain compared to what you might think of when you see the word "cookies." They don't have any candy chips, any chocolate coating, not even any raisins or nuts. Instead, Lorna Doone's are good old fashioned shortbread cookies - adult cookies that taste great with coffee or tea - not overwhelmingly sweet, and certain to please any palate.
These are very good cookies, ones that you will not mind setting out for guests of any age or taste.
If you've never had these cookies before they took out the butter, then you'll think they're tasty and crunchy. Fact is, you're missing on a whole world of taste. I hope I find another alternative. Any suggestions?

Nope, nothing is the same as they were in the 80's....
Terrible now! I could taste the baking soda the first bite! Yuck!
The description states 'Buttery Flavor.' Scroll down to the long list of ingredients to the last one: artificial flavor. Butter is not in the list. Read morePublished on October 5, 2013 by DogDad
These cookies have "partially hydrogenated oils." which is Trans Fat in them. Trans Fat is the worst type of fat for your heart.Published on March 20, 2012 by MEG
