About the Author
Deanne Acuña is a private investigator licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs’ Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). She is also a Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) through the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) and a Certified International Investigator (CII). She is a member of the National Council of Investigation & Security Services (NCISS), the International Intelligence Network (INTELLENET), the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) and the Professional Investigators of California (PICA). She accepts clients by referral only. While Deanne is open about her telepathic and claircognizant abilities, she does not promote herself as such, or allow it to cast doubt on her credentials as a certified professional investigator. While telepathy and precognition have proved beneficial in her line of work, she relies as much on her common sense as on her sixth sense. The purpose of the Intuitive Investigator series is to inform and educate readers about how Deanne utilizes her acute intuition in her career as well as to focus a spotlight on serious social issues such as drug addiction, human trafficking and elder abuse. With over thirty-five years’ experience, she continues to run a highly successful agency in the Los Angeles area with a select team of associates, including her daughter, Kimberly Acuña. *** Award-winning author Gillian Doyle has been everything from college radio DJ to aerobics instructor at Richard Simmons’ Anatomy Asylum. She has counted whales as a member of the Gray Whale census and volunteered at the Cabrillo Aquarium as a Whale Watch Naturalist on board sea excursions off the coast of Southern California. Published by St. Martin’s Press, Jove Books and Harlequin Temptation under various pseudonyms, her novels will be reissued in 2014 by Sweetbriar Creek Publishing Company. She is a member of the Author’s Guild, Mystery Writers of America and Romance Writers of America, serving on the executive board of RWA/Orange County Chapter. While her fiction writing has focused on paranormal romantic suspense, she is thrilled and honored to collaborate with Deanne Acuña on a narrative nonfiction series about Deanne’s investigative cases.

In one of the reviews I read prior to purchasing the book, I believe I read something about this being made into a movie. If so, I cannot wait to see it! If not, someone should be doing just that. It will be a great movie.
I do believe in clairvoyance and second sigh, having been blessed with a highly intuitive sense myself - but not as highly developed as Deanne Acuna!
I will be reading more of this series.
I read, on average, six to eight books a week and am convinced the English language is going to hell in a hand-basket due to the efforts of this generation of authors and editors. Frankly, editors should know better.
It has a wonderful storyline and believable characters without turning it into a soppy love story or a real hard core thriller. Light, enjoyable reading and a real must to read!
