This is the best instructional book on faces I've seen yet. I might as well through out all the others. Frank cuts right to the chase without a whole lot of the "same oh same oh" to wade through that is contained in each and every other drawing book. I'd tip my hat if I had one!

I have other tutorials, I wanted something with more details, I hoped for several variations of faces, but this has the same image over and over, but its a nice one however. I do love its various depictions of noses, and lips but they dont vary much, I have other tutorials that have a varied perspective. All in all if you love the face on the front, then you will love learning how to create that and so for me this is fine, and Im pretty pleased.

A great book to add to your library if you are a portrait person. Not for the beginner though. This is definitely for someone wanting to expand their knowledge. It is a beautiful book and is just gorgeous to look through on it's own. There is a companion book as well that covers the rest of the body but this one is just faces.

I was disappointed by The Lost Art of Fantasy Female Faces. I am an avid art instruction book buyer and of all my 30 books this one just didn't impress. The artwork looks like hardly any effort was made. The instructions were lacking but really I didn't gain any knowledge reading this book.
