I wish I could be more like the heroine in this story. She has such a great relationship with her Nana, even when her Nana starts telling her what to do and how she should lead her life the way she is told, she is able to find her own way without sacrificing the love between them. Even when her own life becomes really dangerous because the bad guys are coming to kill her. She doesn't even know who they are, but she can sense them coming. I wish I had powers like that.
I really like the way she goes in and out of her ancestors memories and learns things from the past by actually living them. Some of them are very gritty. Not scary like a horror story, but scary because something that terrible could happen to me. This book really is about all the things she learns that makes her the new person she is going to be.
The book is also about the bad guys and how they learn about her and how they find her when they hunt her down. They go through a lot of changes as they close in her too. Some of them were really evil, and I hated them as much as she did.
I really liked this book and I hope the author makes it into a series.
I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this book.
I was given a copy of this e-book in return for an honest review.
This is the second e-book I have received that was written by John Kovacich.
It begins with a young girl called Destiny Boutin living with her nana in a old country home built upon a small plot of land poking up out of the bayou. The Boutins were no ordinary family and had magical powers,(whether they wanted them or not). This is a journey for young Destiny to discover her true potential and possibly change the delicate balance between the sorcerer's and witches forever...
A fast paced book witch you can easily loose yourself in, with a romantic turn at the end.
I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any other books from this author.
