Mr. Hannon you did a great story of this Highbridge section of the Bronx. I grew up in Westchester, so it was eye-
opening to me. Good luck with any future works.
James Hannon traces the career of the Irish lads and lasses who hung-out at the Duck Pond in the Bronx's Botanical Gardens from their doo wop beginnings in the rather innocent early Sixties to their demise in the acid rock drug culture of the early Seventies.
The book has a positive and an uplifting ending as the remnants of the old gang get together for a reunion almost forty years after it all went down. It is ultimely a heart-warming story. A job well done, Mr. Hannon!
