I would be lying if I said I had not been waiting almost 6 years for this release, but I also was not ready to just roll over and "ga ga" all over it, either. So I bought it immediately (excellent value from Amazon, by the way) and gave it a few listens before writing this.

I really, REALLY loved Ringside's first, self-titled debut album. It absolutely is one of my favorite rock albums (soft rock, electronic-infused, what have you). I was a bit worried that it might have been so good that it set the bar too high for Scott and crew to reach. That said, this album is a solid five-star album!

It has some new feel, as well as some "classic" Ringside feel to it; definitely that "Clash-meets-Depeche Mode with a touch of glam rock thrown in" thing that they do so well.

Modern rock psychedelic groove at its finest!

This album does not disappoint, it really picks up on track 4 (Money) and track 5 (Freedom), and just takes off from there. For me, track 1 through 3 took a couple of listens to really appreciate.

Thank you, Ringside! Thank you!

Like others here I have been waiting for this follow up. I was nervous on its arrival (cd format) that it couldn't possibly be as good as the original debut album. Wrong. Its fantastic and the best album I have got in a long while. For me, 'this time' is my favorite track but its one of those rare albums (again for Ringside in this case!) that you can just put on and hit the 'repeat all' button on the player and walk away and say 'thank you very much'. Where is the 6 star button?

This is the first time I've ever liked something enough that I felt the need to write a review, so here we go. Once again Scott Thomas and company return with another awesome album. It's a shame we had to wait six years for it! Nonetheless, this is amazing. Their self-titled album is one of those albums that you can listen to from start to finish without getting the urge to skip a song, and this one is just as good! At first I was just listening to Lost Days, Should've Known, and a few others, but now I have it playing non-stop and within a few days I'll probably know every word to every song, just like their last album. Ringside blends smooth vocals, rock, and a sweet bass line with just enough of a hint of electro in the background for it to be stuck in your head for hours. If you pass on this album, you're missing out on the expression of something very rare in the modern-day world of music: talent. Do these California natives (and your ears) a favor, and buy this album.

Why oh why did I wait so long? Better than the first one (which would have been played to death if we still bought vinyl) ...so full of emotion and still so fun to listen to. Great job guys! Sorry I was away for so long. Matson Tweed, coming up!

WOW!!! I am obsessed. Ringside is sexy, exciting, beautiful hot modern rock...never boring! Didn't think they could get any better than their first CD.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't let us wait another 6 years.
