He says she needs to stay put for a few days as she is dizzy. She can't bring herself to tell the family the whole truth and helps out around the ranch. The guys are amazed she can ride and shoot with the best of them. Her uncle taught her well on his ranch. Jace doesn't trust her much and is leery. Riley is all about women and enjoys here being around. Gage the oldest brother enjoys here around but guards his heart as he has been hurt before. The two become close as the days go by and Audrey is wanting to tell the truth about what is going on her life.
Can Gage take what she has to say?
The story was great and I wanted the pages to keep turning and turning. The characters were written very well and the whole story was great.
And seriously, they are in bed after a couple of days, if that long! And Gage is upset that Audrey didn't tell him the truth about her past....you just met!! Most people don't pour their souls out telling a stranger, yes that's what these people are, strangers!, about their lives. And the mention of a certain kind of picture and Gage's comment that once they know each other better.... Shouldn't you have known her better before you slept with her?
This book was totally unrealistic and I found myself frowning through much of it. It had the potential to be a decent book, but it feels like it was a hurried attempt at writing and publishing. Not impressed with this author's "style".
It's a real easy read, and there's not a lot of big surprises to the story. Some of the language they use just didn't fit in, especially with people who've had a college education, though. But that's my only real criticism with this story.
Gage didn't trust anyone, especially women after his ex cheated on him. But after finding Audrey asleep their front porch and his Momma taking her in, he let his guard down. Maybe he should have trusted his instincts and turn the other way but he couldn't let her go.
Would they get Audrey through her pickle or would the cops find she did kill Levi, her boyfriend?
Read to find, out what happens to Audrey and Gage
The reason I gave 4 stars for this book is I feel cheated of a richer storyline. There were no real obstacles to their love, no conflicts, no hurdles; it was all anticlimactic. Make them work for it!
Warning: premarital sex with few details and no graphic or profane language.

Have round ears. Not the other way around.
I will look for more books by Rachel Hanna.
