About the Author

As the daughter of an Air Force officer, Ms. Fluty grew up all over the country, and has travelled much of the world, but now lives in her native California. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Stanford, completed all work but the thesis for a PhD in Psychology and Masters in Pharmacology from Indiana University; and has an MBA in International Management from Golden Gate University. She has taught undergraduate and graduate classes in psychology and in project management; worked as a psychotherapist for the Department of the Army; managed the development of new drugs for Syntex; and written high-tech advice columns for the Sacramento Bee and Prosper Magazine. She has been an avid history buff since childhood, particularly fascinated by ancient Egypt. She enjoys "living history" as well, and has been a participant in Northern California's Renaissance Faire for over 30 years, and is now a docent at Sutter's Fort in Sacramento. She is a stickler for historical accuracy and has meticulously researched every detail of this book and its predecessor, "Nefertiti, Immortal Queen".
