One of the most notable changes between Lost and Trentemøller `s previous work is the frequency of guest spots. Vocals lace 7 of the tracks here, as opposed to 4 on Into the Great Wide Yonder, and these spots go a long way in terms of pacing the album as to not feel too repetitive or slow. The instrumentals are all pretty good, but they're almost universally not as up-to-snuff as the guest spots. Trentemøller's music borders on drone at times, but it's not spacious (or vacuous) to be interesting as drone music. Likewise, the instrumentals are almost too muted and slow to be good as progressive or standard electronica music. Taken on their own, the instrumentals don't stand up, but they serve well to link the guest spots together, and maybe that's how they ought to be viewed: as interludes.Read more ›

Great mix of vocal and non-vocal songs. Sounds amazing and probably second favorite album of his, second to The Last Resort.Published on October 15, 2013 by James J. Acquavella Jr.
Brand new Album, Brand new sound. More female influence on this release. "Decieve" is quite possibly a work of art, with several other tracks following.Published on September 27, 2013 by Don
