I loved this book. I loved Ryan, he's sweet, insecure, shy and has very negligent parents. His mother never stands up to Ryan's father and never defends him. His best friend Dylan loves him as long as he has no one.

Once Ryan meets Hadley everything changes. Dylan does everything to see Ryan away from Hadley. She calls herself his best friend but once Ryan starts seeing Hadley, Dylan wants him for herself. She's never looked at him as any hyping but a friend but now that he's with Hadley she doesn't care if he's miserable as long as he's alone.

Hadley falls for Ryan as soon as she sees him but the age difference won't let their relationship progress. Ryan is seventeen so they decide to wait a few months till anything happens between them. But they still see each other and talk on the phone. Hadley is Ryan's first kiss, first love and heartbreak.

The world sets out to break them apart. Her uncle uses the paparazzi and her ex boyfriend. Dylan makes sure Ryan knows about everything being said about Hadley.

I loved Hadley's best friend Alex. She's there to help Hadley in get away to see Ryan and in anyway possible. Alex is a true best friend. Hadley did piss me off because she let her uncle/manager control everything once she and Ryan are arrested.

I couldn't believe how Dylan moved in on Ryan and took advantage of him. I could never like Dylan. She helps Ryan out when he needs someone but I could never get around to liking her.

Loved this book and can't wait till the novella comes out. I highly recommend any of Heidi McLaughlin's books.

Does it matter if love doesn't know your age?

Lost in you is a story about falling in love and the struggles, which also come along, when it happens and the timing just isn't right.

Even though being a pop star has given Hadley anything money can buy what she wants most is true love. Someone to share her life with, someone who sees past her fame and simply loves, someone for her to love in return.

Ryan has been sheltered his whole life. He lives each day one at a time counting them down till the one where he'll turn 18 and can leave it all behind. Falling in love never entered his mind so when it happens he doesn't understand the rush of emotions he experiences nor does he have the confidence to navigate around his inexperience with girls.

I found myself frustrated and torn with this story, especially with the characters and how they dealt not only with each other but their lives. For me the first part of the book was excellent. I believed that they loved each other enough to overcome whatever obstacles life threw at them, even though I knew eventually something would come to try and tear them apart.

I enjoyed watching that curveball be thrown at their relationship and I loved watching each character deal with the consequences. However, I felt like Heidi really rushed the last part of the story and even though Hadley and Ryan get their HEA I was left disappointed. As a reader I would like to have seen more of their individual growth as opposed to just being told in a very brief synopsis. I think maybe because I didn't get to experience it I didn't really find myself happy for them. I would have also like to of seen more of their story after they re-united.

This review is probably more like 2.5 stars. I liked the first half of the book - the other half was unrealistic and frustrating. I know, when you read fiction, you need to suspend belief. The things that happened in this book, though, were so "out there" I couldn't get involved in the story. I found myself rolling my eyes and thinking to myself "like that would ever happen". By the end of the book I found myself just wanting it to be over, I didn't really care about the outcome. Also, I'm not sure if this book was edited -some of the mistakes were distracting.

I hate to give by this book 3 stars instead of 5. I've followed this author & hyp about this book on Facebook & expected more from it. I couldn't get pulled in like I did with her previous book (forever my girl) I read the first several chapters then the last 4 & pretty much got everything. I give it 3 starts because of the chemistry the characters had together & story line but just something there wasn't enough for me. Maybe I'll read it again in a later time & change my review

While I enjoyed reading Lost in You and it was a very cute, light read, I felt that there were parts of the story that bothered me. While I totally understand that the author was trying to write a story about following your dreams and going for love, I just couldn't fully get behind the plot.

Hadley is a very passionate character and when she wants something, she goes after it. However, I found her perusal of Ryan a little obsessive . She meets him and has this instant connection, but then I think she comes on a little too strong. Since she is older and a woman, I want to say she would have better sense but I know that isn't necessarily true. Another issue I had with her were the mixed signals that she kept sending. I felt like she really messed with Ryan.

I found Ryan to be kind of a weak character in the beginning but he did really develop well throughout the book. His experience with Hadley was very new to him and he discovered things about himself during their relationship. Even though his separation from Hadley was heart-breaking for him, it actually made him much stronger. His friendship with Dylan was a saving grace for him and even though I felt like she was a little manipulative, he was lucky to have her in the end.

Overall, I think this book was really well written and I think the author did a good job of illustrating the idea that you should take risks to fight for what you want. However, Hadley's strong perusal of Ryan, only to so quickly desert him was bothersome for me. I know it was hard for her but I felt like she gave up too easily. I was satisfied with the conclusion of their story but not sure I liked the way the final chapter played out.
