Readers who have read Helen Lacey’s Harlequin Special Editions stories will enjoy this.
Would he act on his attraction or would his secret be in the way?
Would she act on her attraction or would her torment and secret be too much to overcome?
Would this treatment be the cure they have been praying for or was it another dead end?
When I start to read a Helen Lacey book, I know I will find a sweet, sensual romance with an intricate plot and well developed characters. This story did not disappoint. Building gradually throughout the book toward a climatic end, I rode a roller coaster of emotions as this family tried to meld together. Excellent story. Well written.
I would recommend this book to all romance readers.
4/5 stars Could love overcome all their problems?
Jessica Dennison was a wife to Mark Dennison and a mother to Sophie. Unfortunately due to an auto accident and promise made by Catherine who was Jessica's twin sister she had to live alone for years without the man she truly loved and who truly loved her! Jessica Dennison made one request of husband Mark before she died.
Mark had to get back in touch with Catherine after keeping her out of his life and Sophie's for ten years. But he had to make an attempt to save Sophie's life!!! He just had to.
Catherine agreed to come back and get tested and loved being in Sophie's life. They had so many years to make up for being out of her life. But being back in their lives was so hard since she was so in love with Mark.
There were so many years and so many secrets that begged to be let out and the story once out allowed for the perfect ending for Mark and Catherine and also for Sophie.
Helen Lacey in her writing captured what it is like to see lives that are not what they seem. Just make sure when you open this book you are ready to stay reading till you finish it. It is so real that you can visualize the episodes in your mind as you read.
