As with their previous Peanuts titles, Loud Crow has done an excellent job of recreating one of the animated specials into an interactive story. This time the title is one of the lesser known and, in my opinion, underrated specials in the extensive Peanuts animation library from 1966, Charlie Brown's All-Stars. One of the best attributes of All-Stars is the voice cast is essentially the same as for A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Unlike the previous titles, however, for All-Stars the narrator is Christopher Shea, the original voice of Linus. (Perhaps Peter Robbins' recent legal troubles precluded his involvement?) The story is actually somewhat lengthy compared to the other specials, so this there really isn't a chance for mini-games or other objects. But these really aren't missed as the story stands on its own and Loud Crow includes a number of interactive scenes in the baseball games. All in all the experience is very enjoyable if you're a Peanuts fan. If you're not familiar with All-Stars, then you're in for a treat.
I already own the app for Charlie brown xmas and Halloween, those are read by the original Charlie brown, this one is read by the voice of linus. All in all it's great and a fun way to get kids to read and interact with the story book. and even if you are older you'll still find yourself unable to put it down. if you love peanuts (and I most certainly do) you'll love this too.
This is a great app. My Brice and,I spend hour on it. As a huge Peanuts fan I love how well put together and how it stays with the great legacy that Charles Schultz left us with. I love the interactive features and the read to feature
This brings the book to life in a lot of cool ways!First.Steven Shay who played Linus in the TV special reads it!You hear "Peanuts" characters speakin in their own voices along the way! There are also neat surprises_tap Linus on one page and he blows up a swimming pool! Not only is it fun but It's a great way for kids to learn to read.I highly recommend it!
It's okay, but I got frustrated using this app with my elderly parent. It was confusing and had little instructions on each phase of the app so you had to guess what to do. Trial and error method. Cute story, however, and he enjoyed the story as long as I kept trying to figure out what features were available.
I've purchased three of these Peanuts "books" and I love all three. My granddaughters love having my Kindle read to them and I hope they will love learning to read because of "books" like this. If you have young children or just love the Peanuts, you'll love this.
