From the Manufacturer
No doubt about it laptops get hot, often very hot. So hot in fact that manufacturers now prefer the term "portable computer" since you cannot use them on your lap without a risk of injury.

I like that they are compact, and that they offer three different arrangements for use - all four, just the tall feet or just the short feet. When not in use, I put them in the drawstring bag and throw them in a drawer. Much better than having a bulky stand with nowhere to put it. They do a good job keeping my MacBook cool by providing airflow underneath.
I made sure to order from Amazon and the package I got looked like a regular Blue Lounge retail package. I am confident I have the real thing, however, I am not too excited about the real thing.
The Cool Feet work pretty well to keep the laptop cool -- but it becomes annoying if you move your laptop to deal with 4 separate loose feet. They are lightweight and don't stay where you put them. They tend to fall on the floor, get lost, etc. Managing 4 extra items is not convenient.
I thought the lightweight tiny nature of the Cool Feet was a positive - it would make it easy to travel with them. However, in reality they are just too much hassle to set up, take down, and keep track of when on the move.
I recommend going with a one-piece solution, or stick on fold out feet instead. These feet, while very nice for what they are, are rather annoying to deal with.
-Easily attached and removed
-Perfect for a bed or a fluffy surface to keep your laptop from building up too much heat
-They do pull off if torqued too much
-Dont adhere well to PCs or other laptops with holes in the body (obviously)
-Breath heavily on each foot before you attach it. The moisture helps with adhesion. Don't lick them before attaching
-Lift you laptop up before moving it so the feet do not torque off
-Use a few books or magazines below the feet on a bed or fluffy surface to help with airflow.
-Use the little red bag
All in all these things are perfect. The best part is if you loose them or they break for some strange reason you won't feel bad buying another set.
It would be easy enough to reproduce the effect with some thing homemade, but the material they used for the feet gives a good grip on the table or desk, which makes the key board very stable. I recommend these if you use your laptop away from your desk quite often.
