Sarah Pekkanen tells tales you feel a part of. Love, Accidentally presents a love story that many have been a party to. Is Ilsa really the girl Grif wants to be with, or is she stepping into a rebound role from a first love that might not be finished. I loved this story. Sarah establishes characters that feel fresh yet familiar. She is a beautiful crafter of words. Wonderful short story Sarah!

Be warned, this is a very short story and the rest is simply ads for more books. A total waste of a dollar. the story is cliche and the characters are weak.

I was really excited to read this story. I'd heard good things about the author, and I thought .99 seemed like great value for a short story. The description said it was approximately 94 pages.

I'm giving the story itself 3 stars because I was enjoying it...but when I turned the page, ready to read more...it was over. The ending wasn't really an ending. Which left me clicking, and searching, thinking that surely there must be more. I looked down and I was only at 23% progress on the Kindle.
Now, I understand putting an excerpt at the back of the book. BUT when 3/4 of the book is advertising another book, that's just not right. I even went back to the book description on Amazon to see if there was some sort of warning. Nothing. (I should have read the reviews)

Like I said, I'm giving the story 3 stars, but the fact that it was packaged so poorly and in such a sneaky way...1 star.
I would like to read more by this author, but for now, it's left a bad taste in my mouth.

why put out two books (this one) and All is bright -felt I have been ripped off-who wants to read
a few paragrahs from each book that has been written by this author (same short paragraphs in both books)
wasted my money

Isla is an animal veterinarian who meets a man (Griff) walking his dog as she was on her way to meet a blind date. I thought this was a very cute meeting.

On the surface, Griff seemed to be a great guy, a perfect guy for Isla; however, all that was put into question when we discovered that he was unemployed. Ooh, not good! And Isla has had some experience dealing with dead-beat losers.

Additionally, was Griff trying to be too perfect when he flew her out to meet his parents on Christmas? But, most importantly, WHY would he bring up the ex on their first date? Of course, she should worry! He may not be over her.

From that point forward, Isla wracks her brain about his ex. Are they still in touch? Does he still love her? Why did they break up? There were obviously trust issues, and why wouldn’t there be? They clearly got involved way too quickly.

This was simply a tale about the chaos of trust and relationships (both new and old.) I might even check out the next book, All is Bright, which details the story of Griff’s ex. Mmmm.

This book is the companion piece to "All Is Bright," and even though this story has more to it, I feel that a lot of it was rushed through. I read it immediately after "All Is Bright," making the two perspectives of the same story much more cohesive, but I would've preferred a little less rushing in "Love, Accidentally." A little more insight and emotion from these characters could've gone a much longer way in keeping the reader connected and engaged. Instead of two short stories, I feel as if I've just read two teasers from what could potentially have been a pretty good book.

There really wasn't much to this story. Nothing particularly interesting happens. I've read short stories where a lot happens, and some I even liked, but this one was just okay and was more like when you talk to an old girl friend after a while and she's just catching you up on her love life. Not bad, but I'm glad I didn't pay anything for it.

The author's previous story ALL IS BRIGHT continues in the new short story LOVE, ACCIDENTALLY. But this story is told from Griffin's new fiance Ilsa's point of view. It begins with Isla and Griffin meeting by chance when his dog is injured. Within months, the couple grow close and are engaged. During a visit home to Chicago, Isla meets Griffin's parents and discover his ex-girlfriend Elise is still close with the family. Now Isla wonders whether she's the rebound girl or whether falling in love was an accident after all.

Women can connect with Ilsa's points of view on love, loss, family and relationships of the past. Sarah Pekkanen has a knack for writing that draws you into the character's lives. I would love for the author to either continue this short story series or write a full novel with these characters.

As a bonus, this eBook includes excerpts from Sarah Pekkanen's other novels. Download for a quick, heartwarming read for the holidays. It will only cost you $.99!
