How does it feel to be addicted to love? To rush from zero to velcro at first sight? Through seven personal stories comes a tale of the longing for life's ultimate aphrodisiac: Love. Addicts trapped in a fantasy, riding high on the white horse of eternal, passionate love. A film about the all-consuming obsession to obtain and arrest the love of others. The give and take between trust and neglect, dreams and delusions, pleasure and pain, sanity and insanity, and the inescapable fact that in the end we all just want to love and be loved in return.

My favorite, perhaps because it is so heartfelt, is the lady who lives alone and who's "relationships" consist of her "boyfriend" inviting others over to have sex with her... This being the standard of intimacy that she has set as what she can rightfully expect and deserves. This is the one character that makes my clients the most uncomfortable. She, perhaps, shows most closely the human vulnerability that is so often the seed for this addiction. It was a joy when she had an Aha! moment in the course of the film...
Overall, a well pieced together documentary that suffered only a little from an odd, and convoluted, silent baseline narrative of a little boy and girl in their own lonely worlds, finally finding each other... This presented in vignettes interspersed throughout the movie. In my opinion, this time, meant to, in part, offer a break from the intensity of the film, might have better served the audience with informational pieces presented by leaders in the field.
