I don’t know whether to call this story adorable or frustrating. It was a little of both for me. Watching Oscar and Lolly fall in love with each other (and Timber) was one of the sweetest things ever. But seeing Lolly place her trust in people who seemed not to have her best interests at heart, made me want to tear my hair out by the roots. I love the sense of family this small Alaska town gives off and I especially adore the close-knit Rockwell clan.
In Love with the Ski Instructor
Good heavens, the cheese is strong in this one. It’s a cute, fun, light-hearted holiday read filled with some questionable choices (sparkly Christmas sweaters on cats? This doesn’t sound like it will end well) and bad dad jokes. I enjoyed watching Riley and Sebastian spar and banter with one another. And I loved seeing the whole Rockwell clan come together at the end.
In Love with the Slacker
This was a cute, sweet story that brings us back into the orbit of the Rockwell family. Noah is probably one of the most charming heroes I’ve read in a while. He’s observant and romantic and willing to do whatever it takes to show Taylor what they could have together. I loved the gamer-geek aspect of her personality and her willingness to try EVERYTHING for herself, but I found Taylor to be very reserved which put me off a little. Her willingness to discount her and Noah’s feelings baffled me – I don’t remember seeing a good explanation for why she was so resistant to their relationship. I really appreciated that the story ended on the message that there’s always a solution if you look hard enough for it.
In Love with the Nerd
I liked Will and loved the dogs, but Charlie drove me absolutely batty. She was so frustrating to me. Her spontaneity was more important than a dog’s welfare or anyone else’s feelings. She spends so much time focusing on incorrect assumptions and making snap decisions based on faulty logic, I almost wanted Will to get back with the hateful ex. I’m glad he didn’t, but it was a near thing for a moment. And I thought the closing scene (before the epilogue) was a cheap ploy to tug at the reader’s heartstrings.
In Love with the Doctor
Luke and Mandy are two people who are working to overcome some large challenges, facing demons from their past. I think these two are absolutely adorable together, but I didn’t feel the connection between them as well as I did with other books in this series. I really liked Luke. It hurt my heart to watch him carrying so much guilt that wasn’t entirely his own. Mandy left me a little confused. For someone who so badly wants to be considered independent, she spends a lot of time letting other people take care of her. It was a strangely deep story for such a light, fluffy plot.
In Love with the Football Player
This story was ‘udderly’ adorable. Cassie’s life revolves around her family’s ranch. It’s a legacy she’s willing to do anything to save. All Rhett knows how to do is run – even in his personal life. He thinks it’s in his DNA. What are these two supposed to do when Cassie finds out there might be something more important to her than the ranch she’s fighting to save, and Rhett finds something he wants to run towards more than he wants to run away? I really liked that even though this isn’t a very long story, the characters are complex; they have their good qualities and their bad with lots of nuances. I’m also intrigued enough to go back and find the stories about the rest of the Rockwell clan.
In Love with the Rodeo Rider
I’m a sucker for second chances. I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably keep saying it as long as authors are willing to write them. Louise and Brady are a prime example of a couple that needed a second chance. Their situation is also kind of an object lesson in how horrible children can be to one another. I had a lot of fun watching this big city lawyer rediscover her roots as her small-town cowboy showed her everything she’d been missing. I loved the ending they got, and I can’t wait to dig into the next book in the series.
In Love with the Pastor
This was such a beautiful story about the way love can grow out of our differences with one another. Heidi and Sam aren’t exactly opposites, but they do approach life and faith from rather different points of view. I am in awe at the way this book bridges their faiths and reminds us all that we were given these lives to live to love one another.
In Love with the Paramedic
We aren’t promised anything in this life, and I feel like Josephine and Dan’s story is all about making the most of the opportunities given to each of us. This book is filled with sweet, tender moments between the pair, even when they’re trying to escape the invasive entertainment media. I loved that we got cameo appearances from some of the other Rockfords, but I’m distressed knowing that this is currently the end of the series.

There is something for everyone in this collection, they are not very long, so if you just want a quick read your set with 1 or 2 stories, if you need a longer read, keep on with the rest of the stories.
Savor the unique ways these couples come together. Will you like it? Absolutely! Settle down for 9 novellas about happily ever after in the 49th state of our great country.

Each story features a member of the Rockwell Family. They are all very different and come from all walks of life. It is an absolute joy to follow this delightful family as they each find their happy ever after.
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection and definitely recommend it.
