About the Author

Dr. Sue Hall earned a B.A. in psychology from Stanford University, aMaster's in Social Work from Boston University, and an M.D. degree fromthe University of Missouri at Kansas City. She completed her residency in Pediatrics (including a year as Chief Resident) and Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at The Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. 

Prior to embarking on hertwenty-five-year career as a neonatologist, she was a practicing socialworker. Formerly an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Hall is now in a private practiceof neonatology.Dr. Hall, who lives in the Midwest, has two daughters, now both adults.She is an enthusiastic sailor in her free time. She also enjoys readingand speaking to groups about health care issues of our most vulnerablechildren.
