Three important points:
1. I dove right into this book and went straight to where I get stuck most often: headlines. Headlines are so important because they're needed for sales pages (of course), but also Facebook ads, social media posts, blogs, webinars... the list goes on. But after a while, your brain stops functioning when you're trying too hard to nail the perfect headline. I like the examples she gives and how those jog my creative juices. Completely unstopped my blocked creative flow.
2. Michele's writing has a great tone. She's funny and fun yet very practical and easy to follow. The way she lays things out step-by-step makes it an extremely useful guide for anyone writing copy. I suggest this for ANY LEVEL.
3. In the spirit of full transparency, Michele does give me a little shout out in her dedications so clearly I'm a friend reviewing a friend's book. However, I've hired Michele to write copy for me, I've referred clients to her, and I always recommend her work. In fact, I just sent her a direct message on Facebook saying "Hey, I might just switch to curing back pain and steal all those headlines!"
I have so much respect for her and her work and highly recommend this book.

I've read many books about how to do solid copywriting and taken more than a few courses, too. This little gem by Michele PW is the keeper of them all. Why do I love it? The language is clear, so it's not a chore to understand and implement what she is teaching. There is an easy-to-follow structure with exercises after each section. And best of all, Michele's reminder to stay away from exaggeration and write from a love-based perspective rings true. What other copywriter would advise "just say what you mean and mean what you say....don't twist it and use it as a weapon." I particularly like the suggestions of how to handle frequently asked questions from prospects from a love-based perspective. And in the back there's an appendix that shares ways to add your own personality to your copywriting. Love that! Overall, clear and useful and not cheesy. A keeper!

If you're like me -- responsible for finding your own clients and looking for them through on the internet only because you know you have to be, but so far, you haven't found a way to get your heart into it -- you'll find a gift in this book. I expected a sugar-coated version of the usual hard-sell tactics like the ones internet marketers use: hyped-up, fear-based, pressure-cooker selling. I didn't find any of that in this book!
Instead Michele PW talks about how to write from the heart -- like you mean it, like you're talking to someone you know and care about. There's structure here, but it's structure I found I could follow (instead of resist!)... she showed me how I could adapt and make my own, so that it works for me and the people I want to attract.
The book includes a downloadable workbook and I found that reading the book and doing the exercises with a real project in mind resulted in a finished product by the time I read the last page. Not only that, I've now got a workable template I can follow whenever I need to write copy for my website or anything else I need to talk about to my clients to help them understand how they're going to benefit from working with me.
There's even a special section on adding your personality to your writing. Michele walks you through that minefield, too, so you don't end up sounding like you're back in 8th grade writing an essay.
We all need to persuade people from time to time -- and we start as soon we figure out who's got access to the cookie jar. Michele PW has created a very clear system for writing love-based copy that anyone who is communicating with an audience online would do well to follow. Connecting with the right people via the internet requires clear, authentic communications that reveal your personality as well as inspire action. Michele, who has written copy for some of the most successful internet marketers in the industry, really knows her stuff, but hasn't sold out her originality for success. Her success comes naturally from within, and that's what she'll help you do as well. A great read, I recommend this book highly.

Michele is top-notch in the copy writing arena. I have her book right here by my desk to refer to as I tweak some of my sales pages. There are a ton of copy-writing how to courses out there, but what makes this book special is both Michele's experience in the trenches writing and getting results for industry experts and the fact that this is based on current trends that are working with online marketing. Love-based is the clue. It's no longer about hype, manipulation and fear...as Michele says, it's about love, connection and being of true service in a clear way. I highly recommend you go out and get this book - it needs to be in your business resource library!

I'm not a copywriting expert--in fact sometimes I fear copy--and this book was great for me. If you're someone who is a heart-based entrepreneur who struggles with getting around to writing copy, who feels an icky feeling at the pit of her stomach when it's time to create sales letters or marketing campaigns, or if you feel like you have to choose between writing hot copy that sells vs. sharing her heart, this book is a good bet! You'll like it because you can approach your business with a set of tried-and-true copywriting tools AND you can stay in the heart.
If you're looking for a hard sell or a structure without soul, then this book isn't for you.

Unfortunate purchase of a very weak book

Unfortunately, I was led to purchase this book (along with volume 1) based on the good reviews it had received. Volume 1 totally disappointed and this volume is in no way better. Quite at the beginning Mrs PW repeats a large section from her first volume and continues to elaborate on her unproven points to some lengths. Again, this is very poor business writing and I could not finish the book because there is nothing noteworthy to learn from this book. This book is full of unfounded statements, some spelling mistakes and repetitive to the extreme. Despite this book being relatively cheap, I regret that I have purchased it, because I could have got a lot of free and much better information from the internet.
