This is the story of Ivy Birch and Brett Hastings. They had one incredible and unforgettable kiss at the wedding of her best friend. Ivy thought it had meant something to both of them but when he returns to Briar Creek for an extended stay, she realizes it didn't really mean anything at all, at least to him. Brett remembers the kiss all right but he is determined not to let anything derail his plans to get back to big city medicine where he can do something "important". He has a hard time resisting the beautiful Ivy though and struggles with the decision of going back to the trauma medicine he excels at or finding a way of making a difference in Briar Creek and being with Ivy.
Definitely a book I recommend!
Now we all have CHRISTMAS COMES TO MAIN STREET to look forward to reading in the fall!
