This is a story about figuring out who you are after everything that once defined you is stripped away. It's about Chloe's journey of self discovery, her transformation as she learns how to be a better friend, a service to others, an independent woman, as she discovers who she truly is. This is such a fantastic story, one I never wanted to end. Chloe's journey is honest and raw and sexy and funny and real. Being in her head, watching her struggle to adapt to this new life she's been thrust into, navigating this city and these relationships and this job, I loved every bit if it. Love, Chloe is the perfect mix of celebrity, friendship, fashion, sex, and romance. It's a little Sex in the City, a little The Devil Wears Prada, a whole lot of that signature Alessandra Torre sensuality. Throw an array of delectable men into the mix, the potential for an unexpected romance, and curve balls that never cease, and a wholly unputdownable storyline is born.
I admit that I didn't read this series as Alessandra Torre delivered it as a serial for Cosmo. But after reading this saga as it's been adapted into a full length novel, I can officially say that I'm happy I didn't. I really love the way this story unfolds in the form of a novel. It's fresh and fun and unpredictable. It's overly dramatic without feeling forced and fake. The daily antics Chloe finds herself in, as bizarre and extraordinary as some of it may be, it all still feels light and exciting (and a little crazy) without feeling unbelievable. I was just so thoroughly invested in Chloe, in her happiness, in the hope that she'd find love, that she'd find herself. I was IN this story from beginning to end and I honestly wish the book had come before the online serial so I had some way to keep up with Chloe after the final turn of the page. Torre's humor, her appreciation for beautiful men, for shoes, fashion and sex ooze blissfully from these pages. Chock full of humor, sarcasm and Torres signature sharp wit, Love, Chloe is a modern, flirty, sexy addiction and I could not possibly have loved it more.
Love, Chloe is Chloe Madison’s journey to self-discovery after her life as a spoiled rich girl is torn out from under her when her family assets are seized by the government forcing her to find a job and support herself. From living the life of the social elite to becoming ‘the help’.
They say the job makes the person. It needed to work faster. I was a disorganized mess, one that lived on fast food and my best friends’ scraps. I beat on the glass of my old world and desperately wanted back in, each day in my new life more discouraging, the varnish of my prior life rubbing off, a new Chloe emerging. I didn’t want her—I only wanted the past.
Chloe was easy to fall in love with as she found herself and became a better person. Each flaw she discovered and embraced and tried to make better, only made her that much more endearing. As she fought with her weakness for her ex who could give her life she once held and wanted, to meeting and falling in love with a maintenance man who helped show her a new Chloe. A better Chloe. One she wanted to be instead of the empty life she had led.
“…you’re nicer now,” she said gently. “You’re smarter. You see things differently. Before, you wouldn’t have given Carter the time of day.”
Alessandra Torre’s is one of my all-time favorite authors. Love, Chloe is a lighter book than she normally writes with surprisingly no angst. Instead, she provided us with a light-hearted, comedic romance filled with a love for fashion, drama, romance, and the power of friendship. I really enjoyed Chloe’s self-discovery and finding her place in her new life.
He made me realize how empty my old life had been. And in his eyes, I saw a future that I wanted more of, a future where I was a better person.

It's a little disjointed, leaves some stuff unanswered, and has like 100 chapters (which is weird).Read more
